It only took me a couple days after reading about them to have my first, from what I recall. Mastering it, however, usu. takes quite some time. I still have yet to do that...

It took me a number of years to have my first Lucid Dream, but, I didn't have anyone to help me or any reading material!

      Good luck!

      I'm still waiting too...
But a month into training, I've just now begun to get a grip on how I work as a dreamer... so, hopefully soon!

EDIT: / Well technically, I could say I've had them before as a child.. but I won't, because I can't recall clearly enough to say one way or another. But I will say that I do remember a couple dreams that were very different and somewhat controlled by me...I just didn't know I had control, therefore it wasn't as though I was willingly doing things...things just kinda happened. Basically I was just scared to no end...

A month or two for any results at all, a couple of months before I had one that was any good at all. I'd had them before I'd heard about lucid dreaming too but they were only semi-lucid and not very interesting.

I started having LDs just before turning 18 (not sure what brought them on...). They started out as falling and paralysis dreams, then gradually changed as I became used to them and learned how to control them to some extent. Been having them nearly every night since. I'm now 26. I guess mastery would mean complete or near complete control and the ability to reach lucidity each time asleep.

But i havn't had 1 since. *sigh* dont remind me i have been practising for about two months now. And after learing that my friend can almost do it at will when he decides to rember his dreams, it just pisse me ..... and that son of ....... damn b..... grrrrrz

it took me months after i started looking into it. i've only had one lucid dream and that was totally random. i've dreamscaped twice, and those were accidents also. i've found out that it's easier for me to lucid dream when i dont have a lot of stuff going on. well im guessing that anyway.

      Mastering?

      well.

In my experiece the dream world seems set and has rules and such I ned to learn the rules of each realm in order to... bend them =) I have limited influence, meaning I can rarely just change the dream, If I do so it comes crashing down.

I want to create. Others have said they could create worlds, civilizations...
I have only visited such places and I do not beleive that I was the one to create them.

Each of us is tied to the other, we are part of the all.

But still... we are separate, like little islands in a huge archipeligo, all a part of the same world.

Supposedly dreams are all within, if one could create life or an intelligence... one that is part of us but separate, like we are from god perhaps we would understand that connection, understand ourselves? I duno.. im just ranting

I think the one thing that I might find in mastery is waking up.

      Feeling bad is good ...
That is if it helps you to grow/learn and go towards what you know to be true. No pain no gain, man!
