So is expectation the key to control?

I just read a tutorial about it in the Dream Control forum. Is it just expecting that things will happan that gives me the right to do anything I want, just think of a reason it will happan? So if I go: "I'm wearing magic stuff that every girl in the world likes me, well her" looking at some girl, will that make the girl automaticly come to me?

Also, how do I make my dreams more detailed? The last lucid dream I had (it was about 1-2 week/s ago), there was a man wearing dark clothing and in my dream I didn't even realize what the hell he was, I didn't even know he was important so he wasn't anything to do with the dream but he was there, I tried zapping him like Dr. Doom from The Fantastic Four but it didn't work, just saw a funny pattern.

I didn't even know where I was, it was a strange blue tint but almost white, the only things I knew that I was there and I was trying to Zap that guy who I didn't even know!

Yes I would have to say that expecting plays a enourmous part in Dream Control. As for making dreams more detailed you could try Dream Spinning, Rubbing Your Hands Together, Focusing On An Object Or Something. These all usually make the dream more vivid. You could also try and put on some Clarity Glasses.

Your best bet is to get into a LD and then demand those answers of various DCs.

Short of that, expectation is huge in terms of passive control (mind over matter). Also important is concocting an explanation for how you can do whatever you're doing that your subconscious will buy (it's easier than it sounds).

I wouldn't recommend the spinning technique since it has such a high failure rate for some. Rubbing your hands or yelling "clarify!" might serve you better.
      Are you dreaming?

Doesn't certainty work better? I mean, if you're sure that something will happen, it's more likely for it to happen than if you're just expecting it to happen...

Sounds to me that you lack conviction and perhaps even knowledge of the fact:

Your Dreamworld is YOUR domain. In YOUR imagination. You have full control of everything because in there you are a GOD. The only reason that you may SEEM to have little controll over your Dream is the false belief that somehow you wouldn't be able to control it. Probably based on countless non-lucid dream experiences where you were helpless.
If you have problems with anything in a dream, for instance flying, you get back on the ground, nod your head in shame of the miserable first attempt due to false incertainty and then you Shoot up into the sky like superman.

As hard as it may seem; It'sw a question of certainty. Be certain you can do it. If you feel you can't do something shudder it off and just do it like you know you can. A God with lowself eshteem is not a God at all.

      About "Clarify!"

I don't know what that word actually means, stupid I may sound.

      Okay an example.

"I don't know what Clarify means" "Well then let me Clarify"

It means to make something clear or understandable.

I don't think its completely down to expecting it will work because i think that alot of these things require alot of belief for it to work, if you truly believe it is possible then it will happen. I think belief o it happening plays the biggest role though.

I am the dream! Lol no, I know what you mean there.

Like: You know when you sit on a comfy bed, you'll relax

Actually that would be pretty cool, I will trick myself into thinking I can jump into the TV and go into Tellitubbie land!

Anything is possible in Dreamland. Don't take this world for granted as a scene that just is as it is. Dreamscenes are completely playable and adjustable. Completely morphable. Allthough I am not a master in Lucidity itself yet, I am a master in KNOWING without a trace of doubt that I can do literally anything that comes to mind. I am a master when it comes to dreamcontrol in the unpredictable few LDs I'll have every now and then.

Nothing is impossible once you've come to the full realisation that these Dreams are not just happening to you: You create them and are free for you to morph them into whatever situation or scene or even emotion or action you wish.

Ask yourself: "Why shouldn't you be able to have full control over your dreams?" They're YOUR dreams aren't they? An Imaginative world conjoured up by YOUR Imagination; Realise that, with a smile of knowledge of the power you have uppon reaching Lucidity. Have a sense of "Getting it" you know? Like you have been playing along with the DreamScript like a slave believing everything was real. And suddenly you see how everything is a Dream: non solid illusions that seem very real. I always grin when I become lucid thinking: 'Very clever, very realistic, but I'm on to you guys" And than I am God and fly at high speeds over the DreamScape feeling incredibly powerfull.

Reminds me of that episode of Ozzy And Drix
