      Guidance needed re DEILD

      Hi,
I've been studying LD for about 4 months now, kept a dream journal with about 300 hundred dreams in it so far.

I've tried DILD, MILD, WBTB etc. Listened to MP3. Read Stephen LeBerge Exploring the world of Dreams.

I do RCs every half hour yet I have not had a really full on LD.

The only time I got remotely close was when I woke from a dream and went straight back to sleep. I felt like I was conscious and thought hey this is a dream, I remember my eye lids moving real quickly. I woke up after about 5 seconds.

Anyhow now I'm getting a little frustrated with all the hard effort and little return and was wondering was my experience above a DEILD and should I concentrate on DEILD going forward?

Any advice would be most welcome.

      Thanks

      Paulh

U should stick to WBTB if Ur impatient. WBTB with what I call TILD Task or Target Induced Lucid Dream(just some name I thought off)..:p. Haven't had much test on this yet but it has given me 3 vivid LDs so far. First of all U need to pick a spot or target outside Ur bedroom where u can see it through Ur bedroom window at night, it has to be a permanant feature because U'll have to stick with it, for example the roof of the facing building. Next, associate that spot or target with becoming lucid in the dream and a reason for flying there that will motivate U to fly there(U'll have to use Ur imagination). Then set an intent to fly there. When Ur setting the intent U need to look at the chosen spot or target from Ur window and intend to fly there NOW not later but NOW during the WBTB and visualize Urself actually flying there for the whatever reason. After Ur sure that U really badly need to fly there for the whatever reason....go back to bed without thinking about anything. If it works U'll realise Ur dreaming at some point in the dream and U will remember Ur task of flying there for the whatever reason Ur lucid dreaming for.... It may or may not work the first time because the spot U picked needs a burn-in period of ???long.

What you described sounded like a DEILD. For me DEILD is 100%, but catching it in time is proving tricky. You have about a one second window to catch it, if you move or open your eyes, you've missed it.
