Talking The irony! (I must be getting closer!)

      Thought I'd share this exert of a recent dream with you guys;

(I am sitting at a table eating 'Chinese Burgers'(?) in a Chinese Restraunt)

Me: Mmmm these are nice burgers.
Recognisable Friend: I've started trying Lucid Dreaming/Reality Checks etc.
Me (disregarding): Cool, keep at it.

(I go back to my food and forget about it)
I don't specifically know any LDers! Why didn't I question it?!

      Any ideas?

I must be getting closer to an LD musn't I?

It happens when U least expect it. U will have more of these in future but with variations. Just remember what Ur intentions were before the dream...how were U feeling etc...fragile balance/ingredients to LDs so U can recreate it. That's what I do anyways when I get close and it does happen again CLOSE!

Well, it has definately made an impression on your subconcious and found its way into your dreams. Now the fun part begins. You need to do more reality checks and beyond that. I actually periodically look around and make sure everything is real kinda like a super RC. It would also be a good idea to RC whenever you think of lucidity or dreaming. Especialy during conversations. Sometimes random things pop it into your hea and they might trigger lucidity in a dream. Good Luck!

      Thanks for that!

I am starting to 'Super RC' (question reality) more; but rarely do it when dreaming.

      Thanks for all the replies!

I do it in waking life, but not much in dreams, I just sort of realize I'm dreaming as a result.
however, once it works, you have to keep it up because I had like 3 LDs in a week and stopped doing it as much because some shniz came up and entered a dry spell. A dry spell that I'm still in the middle of.

I once saw a 20 foot porcupine chase an old chinese merchant (pulling an anceint style cart) down the road. . . dreams are weird. Point being there are weirder things to not catch onto.

I once had a dream that I could fall asleep at any time and have Lucid Dreams at will. The dream was a very long one and I missed all the signs.

      Mine is better than yours.

Dreaming about lucid dreaming is a good sign, and shortly after I did that I had my first lucid dream. Yeah, people lack knowledge in dreams, so it is understandable that you didn't become lucid. But hey, you were close. You'll get lucid eventually don't worry!

yup after my first LD i just could get one for a long time (you can see in my sig.)
anyway i think the reason of that is i just got lazy after a while. i always have references to dreaming and LDing in my dreams, but i dont have an LD. (this sucks, massively) well i thought that if i just ask myself if i'm dreaming, that that wil be enough for a RC, but now i realize that i have to have evidence that i am dreaming. i cant jus ask myself. i have to have concrete evidence like the nose pinch RC or somethin. just asking myself isnt sufficient enough.
100+ Nights of LDs in my high school days.
Starting again after almost 10 years.
