      Almost there with WILD

Okay, now I'm so close to a successful WILD. I can manage to relax somewhat deeply, and I've managed to have a hypnic jerk. In my most recent attempt, I've noticed the jerk and stopped it before it makes me jump out of my skin. This is most likely a good sign of being close to the dreamworld.

My question concerns what I should do after that. I'm having trouble finding how hard to concentrate at this stage. Do you know anything that I could do here that would provide a good balance of concentration and relaxation? Maybe I should take advantage of the hypnic jerk and try to become moderately aware as soon as it happens?

There are endless things you can do. There are so many, I don't even know where to start, as what you're describing is the whole concept of a WILD- mind awake, body asleep.

Try visualizing that you're doing something. Just doing something constantly. Don't let your mind stray from it. Try to feel like you're actually doing it. Try to see with your mind's eye the setting and event you've created.

Thanks, I'll give that a go.
