      Exclamation MILD experts needed

      Hey everybody!

I can't seem to find much material on the MILD technique... Does anyone here consider him/herself a MILD expert? If so, could you please share your wisdom with me ?

      Thanks in advance !

I'm sure that there is a tutorial in the tutorials section. A MILD is basically just incubating a dream with some sign that will cause you to go lucid. I always combine it with the DEILD technique. I reenter the dream that I was just having, but change something. The two times that I did this I added an RC on the wall, which caused me to go lucid.

      Thanks for the reply,

I saw the (rather old) tutorial, but it still left some blanks for me. I think I might just pick up one of LaBerge's books, from what I understand, he is the one who pioneered the MILD .

Hold on that sounds a lot more like VILD than MILD.

Well so far this is what I have gathered about the MILD technique:

      1) When first going to bed, convince yourself that you will wake up after every dream period and remember your dreams (it's a little more complicated than that but that's pretty much the basics).

      2) After waking up after a few dream periods, convince yourself that you will realise that you will be dreaming or convince yourself to do a reality check (again this is the simplified version).

It seems that a successful MILD requires a lot of confidence, whereas a WILD takes willpower and a random DILD just takes sheer luck.

its not a matter of NEEDING confidence to mild....mild generates this confidence aswell as the intention to remember your dreaming.

and i recommend an alarm...iv had a good mild and a couple of brief moments in them...it makes sure i dont miss an oppurtunity. and have a plan of thought for when you go back to sleep..like plan your train of thought and just repeat it until you sleep and bingo.it saves stressing about WHAT to think of, because you already know..you just gotta keep it going with meaning

im not expert btw, they are some things iv learnt from my own tries.

MILD basically is telling yourself that you will have a lucid dream, remember to recognize dream signs, and/or do something that will trigger a lucid dream with strong belief.

Something I do is tell myself I'm going to lucid dream tonight with confidence but then don't think about too much until I go to bed.
