      WILD in only 90 min!

So it takes like 90 min for REM to set in. So I figure WILDing when going to bed is a bad idea. I can only ever last 30 min trying to WILD. If your narcoliptic or w/e apparantly you can do it in as little as 15. Not worth it though.

Wouldn't it be quicker if you woke up in the middle of the night and went back to bed since the NREM stages don't last as long? At worst you could WILD in 90 minutes, but I'm sure it can be done faster ways without a sleep condition.

LB has the right of it. WBTB helps tremendously.

True true. Unfortunately I don't want to wake my family up and then end up being bothered by my dog or parents getting up for work. I'm trying to wake up at like 3 just by saying I will the night before. It works better than you'd think.

I take Clairity's advice- wake up, stay up only long enough to go to the bathroom, and go straight back to bed. Then someone else suggested that you return to sleep on something other than your bed, so that your mind registers that you are going through something in an attempt to have a lucid dream, and from what I understand it works marvelously in congruence with WBTB.

I wake up using a cell phone set to vibrate, and put it next to my ear. That way my parents and brother don't wake up, but I do.

Thx. I've changed my mind and I'm gonna try chain lucid dreaming or DEILD or w/e you wanna call it. It seems promises cause you wake up after every dream and it's essentially a much faster wbtb WILD.

I've been trying to wild every once in a while, and a few days ago, started to try it every day.
Yesterday i had a major breakthrough. I woke up after 6 hours of sleep because I needed to go to the toiled. Then I thought: let's try. And it worked, not just once, but 3 times in a row, then I got up because it was already 10 am.

I've been trying to wild a few times directly when going to bed, and always fell unconscious. Anyway, I figured, if I still keep trying every day, it's a good training. And even if it takes me a year to be able to WILD right when going to bed: It's not just training to WILD, but training for your concentration alltogether.

      I think

Either way, more helpful than sleeping.
