Talking I know everyone says wild is hard but.....

I reckon mild should be harder. I havn't actually tried mild but from the description it sounds the hardest (personally anyway). See, i find it very hard to set my intent on something and believe in it if i am forcing it as well. That takes skill. Whereas with Wild all you need to do is concentrate on something until you slip into a dream "aware". i know about SP and HI and all the rest, you don't need to point them out, they don't have anything to do with skill and therefore don't make wild harder or easier. ( i have personally experienced SP and felt vibrations, but i have never seen any HI). I haven't had any success with wild myself but i still think that the only hard part about wild is to actually get it right for the first time. Once you've had your first wild and know what it feels like, you would know exactley how to do it again and again and again. Dilds are pure luck and coincidence (although a real player might slip some skill in too), and they are therefore neither easy nor hard. Vild, i think, falls just under wild in effectiveness once mastered, but again, i've never succeded with vild either.

I've only had one LD - a DILD, i was exhilerated that i actually got one but the dream was just me walking around my bedroom until i woke up (It was my first so i had no real control).

As i've only succeeded with dild and don't actually know if anything i said is true, all of the above is only a theory. Lets see what you all have to say about it.

Hi, I think U may be partially right about that. I had 4 LDs with MILD but all were one time intent so yeah it's hard to maintain the same level of intent night after night because we are not a computer...our moods change and so does our intent. U have an LD because of a certain intent, the next night nothing... Whereas WILD is based on skill and learning so yeah it could be said as easier but takes a long time to 'master' to have even one LD. And what I see above is a Woman's bust...

I have had about 30 lucid dreams, all of them DILD. And I have to say, I think you're right. There is no way of determining what sort of dream you will have (atleast for me), and I only succeed at DILD in a certain kind of dreams. I have began to pratice WILDing, and I truly hope you're also right about the idea that it becomes much easier once you succeed.

And dammit imj! Stop writing the word "you" as "U". There is no excuse for that, and it's driving me crazy.

IronKnuckle: It sounds like WILD is probably better for you, personally, but a lot of people find it difficult to do, and many many people simply don't have the dedication to make it to that first time. I agree with you that WILD is the most consistent in the long run, but it's a lot of work and time to get there. Also the book looks kinda like breasts partially covered by clothing? But that isn't really sinister..

I tried to read that, I really did, but by the time I got to the second 'U', I just couldn't keep going.

I could read it easy enough.
I know the picture isn't sinister, but saying it is holds peoples attention on it.

Wild could be better for me yes.... but i haven't succeeded yet so my best chance for now is dild

My advice is stick with one method. WILD and MILD seem to be the most effective techniques. Stay with one of them so you can focus and don't try to put a timeline on LDing. Once you get any sucess at all even hearing audible noise you won't force it and you'll start to notice things that work for you.
