Gotta wonder why this was never stickied or put into Tutorials.

An hour or more to WILD? damn. That's sleep deprivation without the benefits of a WBTB! No wonder I've only done it during special spontaneous conditions where it only takes 5 minutes. I either give up after maybe 10 or 20 minutes, lose my concentration after that time, or stay awake the whole damn time and make myself cranky and frustrated and miserable.

I want to figure out a way to make myself WILD that works and that doesn't make me feel robbed of sleep. It would probably be more reliable than waiting for myself to recognize dream signs in a DILD.

No dream goals at the moment...just flying and letting stuff happen is kinda fun, and it's hard to motivate myself to try LDing lately.

I disagree with number 3. I think that if you have an itch for no reason (other than the blanket tickling you) then it's your body testing you to see if you are asleep or not. If you move it will know that you're not asleep and hold off shutting itself down.

      Clairity taught me that.

I wouldnt say the body is testing you, but true it will hold off shutting itself down. What i was saying was If its that constant wont go away itch, Its better to just scratch it. It always set me back further just trying to ignore somthing that is so annoying.

I dont think the body is testing you to try and make you fail. Its just going to sleep. either come with it, or stay out of its way.

putting your alarm somewhere far away from you bed would help alot also try setting a 2nd alarm about 10 apart from the first one. So if you do fall asleep, that will re-wake you up.

I found this plant makes you go tired and then WILD. You might find me sick, but that's what the plant does. it's kind of drug plant i guess. haven't tried it.

what are we talking about here, weed? weed definetely makes me tired after a while, but it hinders my dream recall a lot so if i want to remember dreams or try to WILD I have to sleep like 8 hours to get rid of the stoniness, wake up for a bit and then go back to sleep.

Number 8 is me all the way. I just about always get vibrations, and then focus on them til they go away. I kind of discovered the solution to this this morning even before reading this thread. (confirmation is nice though). I focused only on my breathing when the vibrations came and they got really strong. I still lost it, but it happened on 2 separate occasions this morning.

Every baby step is getting me closer to Jessica Alba. :

you guys are probably going to get tired of me bumping this, but you're going to have to deal with it (jk)

It hasnt been seen for awhile, and with all the WILD techniques in one post, its rather helpful for research. So heres the bump! now keep the topic alive this time!

I've finally managed to WILD and I'm going to have to disagree with number three too (and number 2). Maybe future developments will make me rethink it, but for now, remaining completely still, especially when you feel an itch, is the path to success.

Having to swallow is especially hard, so I need to WILD from my side so I don't need to.

You know, a hitn I'd use is "think about things half-heartedly, even about WILDing itself".. A WILD is suposed to be similar to meditating but not similar in the aspect of not having thoughts in your head. Some people just struggle to concentrate all they can - it's just like trying to listen to something by making a lot of noise.

When I prepare myself well anddo that, I never EVER feel the need to move. Should I ever do, I'll know it'll be my body testing to see if I'm awake or not. But I also believe that only happens when you are too awake.

That said, it's an amazing FAQ and guide. /me luvs it
