Orgasm Induced Lucid Dream. I've read somewheres that people can start an astral projection during an orgasm. I wonder if anyone here has tried to do the same for lucid dreaming?

The only way I can successfully WILD is with a sex-fantasy into an orgasm. Otherwise, I either go to sleep or I can't keep my mind on WILDing. I haven't really thought about if that is the moment of transition into the dream, but now that you mention I guess it is. The lucid dreams I have that way usually just continue with the sex-theme, so I don't get much else accomplished.

Well, when I wake up from one of those I pretty much think the same thing, but I do have other goals too.

When I first started lucid dreaming, I had the problem of instantly having sex with my DC's (I forgot other things that I wanted to do). I overcame that and learned to accomplish some other things. OILD throws me back to how I was in the beginning. (It is so much fun tho, it's hard to complain.)

I think that if you have an orgasm you become too relaxed and fall asleep deeply. I think that, if you get sexually excited, you shouldn't do anything about it so that you can keep that sexual energy. Perhaps THAT would be helpfull in keeping the mind wakefull while falling asleep?

You don't use the orgasm to help you get through the stages of WILD. You use it as the exact transition point into a dream. I'm not 100% sure how that's accomplished though.

I think its more of a matter of attention and the mind then what's happening physically to your body.

Being human beings that we are, sex or sexual fantasy is a sure way to capture our attention. That's attention that's being withdrawn from the waking world around you, and turned internally to a sort of visualisation or daydream or fantasy.

Withdrawing attention from your waking life, and visualisation are exactly two elements that are commonly quoted in WILD techniques as being important.

So yeah, I can see the link

I've read in a number of places that there is definately a link between arousal and a kind of, waking-dream, or LD/OBE state.

Like SKA, though, I'm finding it hard to see how you could utilize the orgasm itself.
Surely you'd need some VERY impressive skills in control.

Maybe it works better for girls?

Isn't it so that the Orgasm is the sudden END of sexual excitement?
That's why I like sex where I never quite get to an orgasm. Orgasm = end of the pleasure.

I don't see how you could reach orgasm while close enough to enter a dream without waking up.

One good idea might be to wake up in the morning, with an incredible boner(happens to basically all guys every morning right?), but never touch yourself. I could swear that if I wake up with a morning boner I could lie in bed and it would just never go down untill I actually get up and start my day.

Perhaps you could wake up like that and fall back asleep focussing on the sexual excitement in your penis. Perhaps this makes it really easy to fall into an erotic dream too. Needless to say this only works for guys.

Question for the ladies: Do ladies also wake up horny like a rabbit or is it just guys?

So what I know about REM sleep: You feel dizzy going into it, your eyes move rapidly, you can't move and you get a boner.

So therefore the fastest way to acheive a WILD would be to look at some porn, spin around really fast, fall on your bed and move your eyes around like crazy without moving the rest of your body.
