Lucid Dreaming would be easier if it were a bigger activity IRL

Hi, at the risk of sounding sourgrapes.., just been thinking the reason Y lucid dreaming is rather hard to master....because it is too small in IRL, even if it's ranked number 1 on the to do list it's still too small an activity IRL. Imagine....if it were something big like mountain climbing or sky diving...wouldn't it be easy to carry into the dream state? Instead IRL it is about doing reality checks and when Ur done doing reality checks..that's pretty much it... Of course there is the being mindfull thing or lucid living...but how many of us are able to think like that?.... So basically lucid dreaming IRL is just reality checks which is kinda too small an activity to carry over into the dream state. I have been creating ways to incorporate lucid dreaming as a big activity which of course would include reality checks but haven't had much success...it's tough to connect lucid dreaming as some big activity ..any ideas are appreciated...

First of all, every single one of us is "able to think like that".

Second of all, WILD. WILD fulfills every requirement you listed there.

It isn't just reality checks. You can do enormous amounts of them every day and not get much of a result. DILDs (dream induced lucid dreams) also have an active induction technique, not just WILDs (wake induced).

The technique for DILDs (more "passive" than WILDs) is called MILD - Mnemonically Induced Lucid Dreaming. There's a tutorial for it in the Tutorials section of the forum, it's described well in LaBerge's Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming and many other sources.

So, aye, with WILD put aside, a DILD also requires active effort. When it comes to dreaming in the night and doing something with it, you need to have a truly strong understanding of your subconscious feelings and thus be able to impose your intent upon your subconscious. For everything from waking up after every dream naturally to becoming lucid. Will power is enough. It just takes practice with using one's will power, understanding the power of intent, which governs all things related to the mind.
