Hey I did RC's for about 4 or 5 months before it payed off but trust me it does, use the other techniques and still do RC's would be my suggestion! |

I am getting fed up of doing constant reality checks all day, every day and get no results. Therefore i am going to experiment with different methods that gain you direct lucidity. I have been reading a few today and i am going to try one tonight. Affirmations after waking up in the middle of the night, falling asleep counting with i'm dreaming on the end among others, and hopefully i will find a technique that will make me able to induce lucid dreams at will or very frequently. I have got to get my lucid powers dreaming ability back, and maybe i have got to change things up. |

Hi, maybe U did Ur RCs too near each other. U could space them out about 30min apart, so that means each RC will only ensure if Ur dreaming or not for 30min after which it's invalid and U'll have to do another check. Also a good way to keep looking at the clock for the 30min if it's convienient otherwise just go by gut feeling that 30min has passed.. |

I'v been doing reality checks for about a year and a half but in spells and normally it pays off brilliantly but lately it's the complete opposite. Earlier this month i started them back up and had about 5 in 6 days but since then the level had dropped drastically so now i am really losing motivation for them. Maybe i'll do them once an hour or something. |

Something that I remember Tank saying was to take a chill pill, basically. If you're stressing yourself over going lucid, your stress is going to keep you from it so take a Vay-k-shun from active dreamin! |

Yeh thats what i have been doing today, a few reality checks but not stressing over it and i feel alot better. |

I only do a RC when I really think I should. In my opinion the "think hard and do a RC" is better than "do a RC to make it a habit". When my dreams are totally fictional, I might think about something being odd, even if it's about my elephant horse. That's usually when I get a DILD from RCs. In the end I stopped the habit thing a week after I started, because I had a dream where a RC didn't show I was dreaming (I didn't doubt it). Only when I am confused, the RCs tell the truth. |
