Ok. So I need some clearing up.

So when I go to sleep at night and I try to WILD, this is what I get:

First I close my eyes and focus on the inside of my eyelids. Maybe Ill count, sometimes forwards, mostly backwards from 100. Anything to just keep my mind occupied.
Next my eyes will dialate and everything will get super dark. Still I focus on the darkness and count.
Then I start to get waves of like this chemical release that spreads through me and makes me numb, first my legs then my fingertips and arms. Lastly my face. I am still concentrating at this point, but I find it harder to keep my mind clear. My heartrate is usually also a little quicker now.
The next thing that happens is my eyes start moving really fast and I find it really hard to keep them closed. I usually have to force them shut. I tried this afternoon to sleep with my arm over my eyes and that worked.
Today was my first experience with a hallucination after that. I suddenly felt my entire body fall as if the bed suddenly disappeared from underneath me.

But I can never get past this. I have never SEEN anything. Just heard and felt things. All I ever see is blackness.

One question is, what am I doing wrong?

Another question is. What are you supposed to see? Do you see ACTUAL images in your head? Like are they as clear as if your eyes were open? Are they mental images like a vivid memory or a daydream? Or do you just see images totally in your head and they don't look like anything, you just know that they are images??

Also. When you LD. Does everything look like your really awake? Like if I LD will I see things like I am now??

Sorry. I am just really interested.

One time I set the specific goal of looking around and seeing how real it was. It was just like real life . It's really cool.

To solve your WILD problem, try WBTB. Dreams form in REM, and since REM happens 1-2 hours into sleep, you'll have a much harder time getting there without WBTB.
Even so, you seem to have gotten pretty far without WBTB, with the hallucinations and all. Sounds like you have natural talent

And never be sorry about asking questions or sounding eager. We're here to answer your questions!

Seriously? Thats amazing. However I always find that one block. But I have a feeling that once I have my first LD. (Which WILL be tonight!!) That it will get much easier. I thinks I just have to find the right mindset to enter it in. Maybe Im concentrating on the wrong things or something. But its like real life then? Wow! I can't wait.

dont worry nearly everone has trouble with wilds, if you dont see HI I would not worry, its diferent for every one, that stage may come later.

lucid dreams can be as real or more real than real life. you may want to try deild, its an easy version of wild, all you have to do is wake up, remember your dream, dont move and just go back into the dream.

      ^Probably

Hey there. Erm, I will try to say something useful here!

WILD is generally agreed to be the most difficult LD induction technique, so it is not at all weird to be having trouble. How long have you been doing this for? Just keep at it and you will most likely improve!

Try different WILDing techniques. Search around on this forum.. lots of people have posted their own versions of this technique.

What you see when you LD depends on a lot of factors. Sometimes it can be hazy images, other times it can be really clear.. I'd say in general what you see in LDs is what you see in your regular dreams.

I would say my regular dreams are pretty clear. But Ive never actually witnessed one concious so they are just about as clear as memories to me.
