I would say just try your technique a few more times and see if the same thing happens. Who knows, every night you might experience very different types of SP effects. |

hi guys, last night I tried WILD with near success. but, rather than sleeping first, I just stayed up until I was really tired and then tried the technique. Things really started off well. I started to see the colors, and my body began to feel heavy, some parts feeling numb. Then I started thinking about me rollerblading. as I lay there thinking about this I started to fade in my attention, but when I did I heard this loud noise. The loud noise sounded like a hollow tube being hit over my head, but the sound was extremely loud inside of my head. after this I couldn't get back in to the same state again...has this happened to anyone else and what can I do different? besides sleeping first rather than staying up late enough to be really tired. |

A warrior does not give up what he loves, he finds the love in what he does
Only those who attempt the absurd can achieve the impossible.

tkdyo, sadly I've never been able to WILD at the onset of a first sleep (i.e., without sleeping some hours first) but I wish you luck in you're attempts. |

alright, I tried again last night...and once again I got to feeling sleep paralysis and starting to see the colors. but this time rather than a loud noise my whole body had one big twitch and all of the sudden I was wide awake again....I feel like this techniuqe may be working for me, thanks for the assurence! |

tkdyo, you're mentioning of "sliding down the bed" reminded me of this posting: |

tkdyo, the hallucinations you feel when WILDing can be rather strong and disturbing. If you do move upon them, however, you might have trouble to WILD again. If you really want to WILD again after ceasing your attempt, then spend soem time awake first. |

Saying quantum physics explains cognitive processes is just like saying geology explains jurisprudence.
thank you for more advice on wilding on initial sleep Kromoh! |

I tried WILDing afew times last week and it felt like the same thing happened to me. I wish I would have known it then. I had some hallucinations then it all stopped and I felt the sleep paralysis, after that I too wanted to open my eyes but I tried not to. It felt like I failed so I woke up, but I might have had it. But surprisingly I'm excited about this instead of mad that I failed. I'm going to try it this week again(oh yeah, and I too was doing it without the WBTB part, i just went straight to bed and it started working). But I can't do it tonight because my stepbrothers are over, in my room. Last time I tried wilding in there, every time one of them rustled in thier bed the sound distracted me. |
