      hey...
well its been well over a year and still no lucid dreams..
      but thats not the point
      now im trying wilds again
and im wondering... is it possible to wild without waking up 5-7 hours later
i mean like say i go to sleep every day at 11
is it even possible for me to try to wild then?
or it has to be 5-7 hours cause or REM sleep or something

You can try, but you're not likely to be too successfull. Although a few people say they can WILD when they first go to bed, most people can't, and even for those who can it's much more difficult.

Technically yes, but you'd pretty much be waiting an hour for a five minute dream, since REM periods are pretty short when you first go to sleep, but the whole cycle doesn't warp to fit it. I try not to attempt them when I first go to bed.
      reality check. etc...

You can try to wild before going to sleep, I was almost successfully with that. I had a spinning sensation and I saw weird patterns form. It also may take a really long time for you to actually get to the dream.

If you haven't had one yet, you may want to take a cold shower around 5AM after you have gone to sleep a few hours, this gives you about an 80% of having a lucid dream.

      ^Probably

Sounds like torture to me. Cold shower at 5am.
I have started 3 days ago and had a LD the last of the two.
      I have about 4-5 dreams a night.
First night I tried WILDing from straight going to bed and several times had pre-SP and never could get further.
The next night was a short DILD where I became Lucid for the last 3 seconds before waking. (Must have been too excited)
Last night I tried WILDing from bed for an hour as I couldn't get back to sleep, but ended up MILD/WILDing.
I had a full LD from start to finished. At first I looked at my hands and my fingers were all long and wavy. I immediately became Lucid and carried out a good 3 minute LD.
I think that one was a mix MILD/WILD because I kept focussing on a prior dream prepping to LD etc, and seemed to go straight into a continuation of it but of my own design.
(was of the sexual kind too down from a club on the picnic tables next to the lake nearby)
I am just lucky I guess. I find I don't have to get out of bed to MILD/WILD.
If this keeps working I will have no problems. I think looking back at prior dreams and visualising them, and visualising them continuing, along with re-assuring yourself you will LD and know when you are dreaming.
That can all be done in seconds of repeating to youself. I don't have to keep doing it till I go to sleep, but just so it is recent in my memory.
Sure hope this continues. (Oh, and I am taking 2x 100mg B6, along with a cup of Mimosa tea to put me straight to sleep, an hour before bed.)

I have brain bullet playing on my computer during the day, which flashes phrases of any topic you choose.
Like it flashes you will lucid dream tonight. Or Are you dreaming?
      Pretty cool.
I also reality check through the day too.
The second longer LD I reality checked my floppy fingers and went into a Sexual LD on purpose.

      hi munkey.
have you tried making a lucid dream triggering CD? to make one, just record your voice on a cd and keep repeated phrases like "you are dreaming, you are asleep in your bed right now and you are dreaming". the cd should be about an hour long in order for it to guarantee itself a spot in your dream. once you hear your own voice telling yourself its a dream, THERE YOU HAVE IT. the cd can even keep looping the same things over and over again, as long as its about an hour long. i think this is the the best method ever, and im surprised more people dont try to make their own cd if their having difficult with other methods ...i have absolutely no luck with WILD, MILD, WBTB etc. if it wasnt for my lucid dream triggering cd i would have quit trying years ago.

I use Saltcube Timer at 15 or 30 mins alarm during the day to practice RC.
I guess I'm pretty dedicated, but I do what it takes.
About to start meditating 30 mins a day too to practice Dream Yoga.
