      Question what is H.I really?

...im sorry for this....i know the definition as according to the acronym list:
These are images or sounds that come as impulses during the onset of a hallucinogenic state. Usually before or after sleep. Sometimes through meditation. These images & sounds are random and can sometimes lead to HIT. The Hypnagogic Imagery Technique. *Look below.

so if im trying to WILD...and without thinking about seeing an object....it will just pop into my head? for instance, i saw a monster and some cool spinning ring on my first WILD attempt....but i think i was beginning to fall asleep, although im really not sure. I think this because the images were really clear and i wasnt thinking about my breathing when i saw those things.

is that HI? does HI appear without changing how you feel? or does it sort of wash over you as if you are going to sleep, like what happened to me?

or is HI when i lie there trying to wild and i think about a dream scape and can picture it in my thoughts?

sorry for this, its just hard to talk about the metaphysical you know. lol

      thanks everyone

Hypnagogia are any images, sounds, and sensations that you may experience while you are transitioning into sleep. The mosnter and ring that you experienced wild WILDing is probably Hypnagogia . It is hard to defrentiate hypnagogia from dreaming because it happens just before a dream starts, and often it develops into a dream.

No, this is just imagination. You can tell the diference between hypnagogia and imagination, in that you have full control over the imagination, it does not surprise you. But if you find yourself seeing or hearing or feeling something that you did not intend to imagine, then it is a sign that you are beginning to transition into a dream.
