I have heard that reality checks ain't for everybody so perhaps they aib't for you. Do you ever perform them in your dreams? |

Hey everyone.. I've been trying to LD for five or so months now I think.. and I've been doing LD's every 15 minutes for most of the day for the past few weeks.. but even with all this constant RCing (Nose plugging/breathing and hands), I never become lucid! My recall should be alright I think, I remember 1-2 dreams per night.. (And I would probably wake myself up in an LD to make sure I remembered it) but I just never get lucid! Could it be that RCs don't work for me? I've tried WBTB's before too but no dice.. I just can't ever fall asleep quickly even right after I wake up. |

I actually have a similar problem. I DO remember to do RCs in my dreams, except they always work the way they do irl. I can see my nose when I close one eye, my hands have 5 clear fingers, I cant put one finger through the palm of my other hand, I cant stretch a finger.. etc etc. |

i think RC is different for everyone , to me it doesnt work at all , if i try to become lucid while in a dream its near impossible , it seems way to real even if the most strangest things happens |

Make sure that when you do a RC you actually put conscious thought into the question, "Am I Dreaming?" Sometimes if you RC too often it becomes so automatic that you don't even think about it and thus even if you did breathe with your nose plug you wouldn't even notice because you aren't paying any attention to the RC. |

I agree, don't make RCs too routine or they'll lose meaning. I probably only did one RC yesterday, but I still had a LD last night (Yay for end of dry streak!!). |

Yes, WBTB is good because it tells your mind that you are serious about LDing. I find that even when i fail a WILD with WBTB i will often get lucid anyway through a DILD. |
