It worked with me, doesn't mean it will work with somebody else but anyway. Grab your left elbow by your right hand, then do the same with the other hand and try to twist them. If it's a dream you should be able to twist the hands, in reality it's not possible to do that.

      Any comments?

Cool, sounds like very useful RC. I'll try to remember and test how it works in my LD's.

I can see someone doing this RC in a discrete manner. It would just look like you're holding your arms together because you're cold. *sigh* It's tough staying undercover from the rest of the population sometimes.

This has inspired me to think of some more RC's:
Pull a finger back, trying to make it touch the back of the hand. I didn't try it in a dream, but I suppose that it will work.
Also any other kind of joint movement that is impossible in waking life - like turning your head 180 degress - might work in a dream. I will try to remember to test it when I am lucid.

Yeah, those are good too! Any RC that can be done discretely in real life is a good one. I crack my joints a lot, hehe, so dodobird's RCs are perfect.

I tested the pull finger back RC in an LD I had a few nights ago, and it worked very well. I tried it several times during the dream, whenever I wanted to make sure I am dreaming, and every time I could pull it much further than is possible in waking life, so my conclusion is that - at least for me - this is a good RC.

That's not really impossible in waking life; I can pull all of my fingers back to within an inch of the back of my hand
