Heres why I rarely do a Reality Check...

My main problem is that people are gonna think I'm crazy doing an RC every 30 minutes, especially if they don't know about Lucid Dreaming.... the only times i RC is when I'm alone, but because i don't do it throughout the whole day i keep slacking off...any tips? like about what people think?

What sorts of RCs are you doing? Obviously trying to fly or something is not a good RC to do unless you're already sure you're dreaming.

My favorite RC, and usually the only one I ever do, is holding my nose and trying to breathe through it. I do this very subtly.. I make it appear as though I'm just itching it or wiping off something on my face, and I only need to do this RC for half a second.

Lots of people like to do the "pay close attention to your surroundings" RC, which doesn't look suspicious at all.

the "watch tech" is gold...just wear a digital watch and watch a couple of seconds go by when doing RC... is my main cue for LD...

I set my cellphone to alarm every hour with vibration only, and do a time-watch RC... its discrete and VERY eficient

after a while, just trying to remenber how you got here is enough to get lucid...

Checking your watch and, to a lesser extent, finger through palm are very easy to conceal. What I consider to be the most important part of a reality check, however, is completely invisible: asking yourself whether you are dreaming. You should always do a mental check, as well as a physical one like checking your watch. Try and remember briefly the main points during your day from when you woke up to how you got to where you currently are. As well as this, look for clues in your surroundings - does everything look as it should? Are any of your dreamsigns around? Are people acting normally? All of these things can be done without anyone noticing.

This is what I do for RCs, it's quit subtle...

I ask myself if I am dreaming.

I look around to see if everything makes sense.

I try to remember what has happened recently.

If I can answer all of those, then I know I'm not dreaming.

That's a good way too.^^^ You can do it all in your mind if you want to. The only problem with that is you may convince yourself that everything is normal and real, and a physical reality check may convince you otherwise.

The opposite can also happen . When in doubt, it`s best to do both I guess.
