Which Method Should I Use? (specific question)

I can't seem to get lucid, i did it twice by accident a while ago. One thing about my dreams however, is that I tend to recall them well. My problem here is that like today for example, I wake up remembering how I looked out my kitchen window and saw a polar bear on the golf course... Things like that happen all the time in my dreams, but I never pick up on the fact that such things are strange. Even when I think about it before going to bed, It still feels that everything out of place that I could use to trigger an RC isn't really out of the ordinary, instead it feels like they are part of reality. Basically I am wondering, could someone tell me the best method for me to use to either help fix this problem so I could DILD or a different method I could use to attain lucidity taking advantage of my good recall?

Make sure you are doing reality checks at least every hour or so. Always be on the look out for strange things in real life and scrutinize the world around you.

i guess a good way would be some kind of reality check every hour just from looking at a clock, or every time i walk through a door, cause i totally cant sense what's out of place in my dreams

I would disagree with Sycross, although it may work for him to reality check "every hour or so"...it is far more effective to "always be on the look out" as he said in his next sentence. Reality Check's are supposed to be triggered by an observation..you will not be effective if you simply say "havent done one of these for a while"

I myself am practicing what you say.."every time I walk through a dorr" I do a reality check. The problem is..staying focussed means it only ends up being like 25% of the doors I walk through. NONETHELESS, you have nothing to lose by being focused to this technique. It's worth a try; and in time I know it will pay off!

If you write down your dreams Doom, in a journal then you should be able to spot things we call "personal dreamsigns". A reoccuring thing/event/person. If these dreamsigns feature in your reality too, then you can Reality check when you see them...and hopefully you will do the same when you dream.

But incase you cannot find your own dreamsigns...

I suggest you look at this thread. It's long...but its very helpful and teaches you to constantly observe. Its simple, but requires practice...I know its given me 1 LD so far...its worth a shot

Make a dream journal and write down everything that you can remember. Then find something that you do a lot in dreams and do reality checks then. If, for instance, you have a lot of dreams inside, then do reality checks when you pass through a doorway.

As far as an induction method, I would recommend that you try DEILD. There is a tutorial for it here.

It is a good method if you have good recall... the idea of it is that you tell yourself before going to bed that you are going to awake from you dreams and not move... and since you have good recall, you will realize that your dream is ending. You then do not move at all, and lay in bed, and because you are so fresh out of a dream, you will
basically do a very short WILD that will lead to a lucid .

Find the DEILD tutorial here, and give it a shot !

thanks to all of those who replied so far, I will look into what you have said. i have been trying to do an RC every time i walk through a door, but last night i had another vivid dream, sort of a cross between blood diamond, national treasure and indiana jones. i remember a bunch of weird things that should have triggered RCs, but i guess i need more practice

EDIT: I started a dream journal from 11/20/07, and since then i have had 2 dreams i could recall, but no lucids. trying to get used to doing RCs through doorways
