Well firstly, WILD is considered to be a tough technique by many. So it wouldn't be a bad idea to try out other techniques instead. |

I failed! Again! 2nd Time in a row! I concentrated on my breathing, counting each breath, while reverse blinking. I eventually passed out! This was when I was first going to sleep. Maybe thats a problem? Someone please input me with what I should do tonight, which will be the 3rd time to attempt the WILD in a row. Please! |

Yeah you're right. But what other techniques are effective? Which do you use? |

Well, my personal favorite technique is just going to sleep motivated (by maybe reading selected passages from EWoLD) and expecting to LD. |

Ah sorry, "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" by Stephen LaBerge. What I liked best about that book was all the examples of people's lucid dreams that were in there. They were very inspiring! |
|
Oh yeah I remember that book! Ok I know what you're taking about. They say the 3rd times a charm...maybe I'll succeed at WILD tonight? If I do it right... |

Personally, I'd advise sticking with a technique for a week or two, just to see if you can notice some improvement in any way. If it's not helping, then try switching to another technique and trying that for a week or two. We are all different, and that includes the way we all become lucid. |

Thanks, I tried again last night. This time I did a WBTB...well, actually...the alarm went off...I was too tired to do anything....I dozed off. Man, thats the hardest part of WBTB I'm always too tired!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

If you are having trouble being to tired during a WBTB, you just need to wake yourself up more after your alarm goes off. Read a book about lucid dreaming for a few minutes or something. |

Everybody dance!
Its not so much waking up as gaining awareness. Having an active mind in parallel to an inactive body is a prime state for lucidity. |

Hey man im pretty new to all this as well. I can tell you though that i have practiced WILD up to 5 times a day and no less than 2 for an entire month now. I have become extremely in tune with my inner self and have had some crazy feelings and experiences with it. Yet i still have not induced a WILD. My advice to you is just be consistent and if you get bored try focusing on the feelings of relaxation and serenity that come along with the techniques. I personally either focus on my breathing. Count each breath. Try to draw dream scenes in my head. Or just lay there relaxing feeling my body grow heavy and then numb and try to just embrace the feelings. The important thing is that you concentrate, there is no trick to doing it from what i can tell. You dont really have to use any technique, just keep yourself motivated, and remind yourself as you start to doze of or get distracted how important this is to you. |
|
You really shouldn't expect to get a WILD after only two tries... many people try for months and never get results. It's a very tought technique to master. |
