25 LDs in a week!

Hello Everyone,

First, I want to say that I have been using the following method, and it has been showing some AMAZING results. I usually have quite a lot of lucid dreams (one to three lucid dreams per week,sometimes more, sometime less, but usually one to three). Using this method outlined below, I had twenty-five lucid dreams in one week. Yes, you did read that correctly, twenty-five lucid dreams in one week!!!
That was a while ago, but the ongoing results are still very promisng. Although I have not had anywhere near twenty-five LDs in one week again, I have been having much more than I usually would. More importantly, by using this method I have around a fifty percent chance of successfully inducing a lucid dream whenever I make the time to use it.

So needless to say, I am still awestruck with the dramatic increase and attribute it to this technique that I am going to pass along to anyone and everyone who will listen. Shedding light on the magnitude of increase that we are talking about here should help others realize HOW EFFECTIVE it really is, so be sure to try it out!

Here it is:

The WAKE - BACK TO BED method

1) Go to bed for 6 hours or so

2) then Wake up

3) Stay awake for an hour or so
(...or at least until you are "awake"
& not sleepy-headed or foggy-minded,
Get out of bed and do something
You HAVE TO get out of bed!!!
preferably read something about LDs
(books, newsgroups, etc...)

4) THEN go back to bed
using whatever technique you normally use
i.e. MILD technique, affirmations, trance induction,
visualization, grounding your awareness, or whatever :)

THEN it is lucid dreamzzz, my friendzzz

The timing can be adjusted to suit your purpose but it is adviseable to get a considerable of sleep (six hours is perfect ) and then stay up until you are no longer groggy minded and sleepy-headed. Once awake, sometimes twenty minutes of being awake will be enough for me, I will then go back to bed with amazing results.
One key thing I have learned is to set the pattern by establishing a routine of doing this regularly. I have been doing it off and on with great results, but when I buckled down and made it a priority. The first week I did it on three mornings and I was fifty-percent successful at inducing a lucid dream. I had about five LDs the first week, above average.

The second week again I did it three mornings and had even better results with more LDs and a slightly higher lucidity ratio (about ten LDs for the second week, well above average. The third week was like lucid dreaming magic. It just seemed to kick in and it was LD records for me. Again, I did it about three mornings and had LDs totaling twenty-five or more for that week!


How great is it to lose count of your LDs during a one week period?!??!



So I think the KEY is to be consistent and get the routine engrained and absorbed into your subconscious. With time it seems to be getting easier and easier, and as a bonus effect of all this induced lucidity, you can expect to have extra spontaneous LDs during the night. It is like an added bonus plan. On this past Saturday, I had a spontaneous LD during my first REM cycle and managed to ride it out for a long looooooooong time. I think the total number of LDs in the series was nearly ten. One LD after another with small intervals in between them in which I was still conscious but did not have any visuals so I would just wait it out in "Limbo-Land" until new visuals would appear and the whole cycle would begin again.


Total time of maintained lucidity was at least an hour, possibly an hour and a half. It was by far the longest LD I have ever had and I have had many long ones of forty-five minutes or more with seven or eight reentries, but this one takes the prize!


which is why I am relaying this to everyone I possibly can :)

Feel free to forward it to anyone you know who may be interested.

I think it is the easiest approach and continues to show the best results. I have been trying them ALL for many years. This one works like magic, literally. The only thing you have to do is arrange your sleeping pattern so that you can use this Wake/Back to Bed Method.

Whatever you have to do, just DO IT! Trust me on this one........

Good post, pretty well known method I think. and.... To make it more spicy:

Here are some questions for you>>>

1. Are you a lucid natural or did you achive lucid count of 3 per week by praxis?
2. What exactly do you think {from your point of view} helped this rapid increase of LD count? {try to be as concrete as possibe plz}
3. Where did you get the idea about lucid dreaming? Some page or so?
4. Hows your recall? Do you use something specific to recall your dreams?

This is what technique i use. I get out of bed until my mind is awake the return to bed and repeat an affirmation and then i have atleast one lucid.

I'd try this tonight but I don't want sleep paralysis:(

wbtb has been a legendary technique for many people here. :) it will always be a good method.

Getting into a consistent routine seems to be very sound advise. Congratulations on 25 in a week. That is incredible.

I agree that WBTB is the most important thing you can do to consistently have LDs. Change up the technique you use to fall back asleep all you want. Just make sure you keep getting your lazy ass out of bed in the middle of the night.

Lately I have been experimenting more with techiniques that use brief awakenings. I have been having huge success with these also. You probably have your own way of reentering your dreams if you can have multiple LDs chained together in the early morning.

What do you use to reenter/ chain LDs? Have you tried using that same technique after a normal dream to induce a LD?

So I have tried it and it was a success, I went to bed at 8:46 pm (almost 9:00 pm ) and I woke up (with a clear sound head) at 4:00 am. My total time of sleep is 7 hours approximately. As described in the method that you have to stay awake for an hour, so I did exactly that. During this period I made myself a cup of milk and some eggs and after that, I started reading my syllabus books. My head wasn't sleepy or foggy during this time. After an hour I went back to bed and tried to sleep and I got four Lucid Dreams but I was unble to identify that they were dreams. I however did reality checks ( Like reading something and hoping that it might change but it didn't). But I am really optimistic that next time I might identify it as a dream.

Thanx for clearing this out. Actually i found it out later on. Still. WBTB seems to be really promissing technique. Thats for sure. Especially waking at the later hours. That helps.

Hi again. I am a big fan of this technique. Actually I dont do reality checks and have had 5 lucids only using this technique. It seems to bridge world of waking life with world of dreaming life and also brings more FAs. One point which would be worth researching is how often could it be performed... Every night? {no problem for me actually}

I would like to react on your sleeping time 7:30 is pretty long, but it is exactly the time when my LD's occur. But i use multiple awakenings per night {lets say two or three} just to remember more of my dreams. Still dont know if this has some impact on LD. If I would be successfull withouth trying to awaken more than two times.

Does WBTB interfere with normal sleep patterns? Okay well I know it does but can it ruin a nights sleep or something... will you still be able to wake refreshed if you did this every night?

Just tried this last night. Went to bed at 12:45am, woke up naturally at 5am, went to the bathroom and searched this forum for lucid dreaming stuff for 20 minutes, then went back to bed....but I couldn't fall back asleep! I was too awake. Grrrr....

Frustration!
I went to bed at 11:47 pm and got up at 5:40 am. My total time of sleep = 5:53 approximately. After waking up I made myself a cup of milk and started reading my syllabus books after an hour (1:30 to be exact) I went to sleep and couldn't sleep at all, I was full awake :shock:. My time of lying during this period was 2 hours, in-between I got hungry so I got myself something to eat, I truely don't know if I slept during this period or not, but I think I was awake.

Considering to Improve in the following areas:
a) On my first day, I was having a dream journal, I was recording my dreams for past six days, so I'm going to continue doing it from where I left it, also I was doing reality checks but not on regular basis. I stopped these activities becasue it wasn't mentioned in the method but I think it is required.

Conclusion
Day three didn't go very well.

I think this technique won't let any of its users, to experience any sort of discomfort that is if it is used as mentioned by the author. After staying semi-awake(and sometimes full awake) for 2 hours (mentioned in the above post), I still didn't experience any sleep discomfort, I'm fresh at the present, this way my lucid dream practice won't interfere with my social life.

If you are asking me, I'm going to do it every night... till I find it useful.

From my experience, all I can tell you is that it will leave you fresh at the completion. I don't know if there is more to it.

I was full awake(I did dreamt for a while ) couldn't get any lucid dreams at all however I managed to write one entry on my dream journal. Still finding a way to overcome the awake issue....my routine didn't vary alot.... altmost the same.


Conclusion
Day four didn't went very well.

After sleeping for 6 hours, I got up and instead of waking for an hour as I did in the past, I reduce the time to 30 minutes and It worked, I slept and dreamt, but was unable to do RCs so it wasn't a lucid dreams but was close to it...

Conclusion
Day five was less then fair.

Didn't got any lucid dream by using, my first day routine...

Conclusion
Another crappy day

Unable to achieve the desired goal.
