      Wilds clarifing

These Wilds seem to be the best way to get a LD. But when people say like what to do I follow the instructions and I can't fall asleep. They say they see images in their head. I see nothing . Was this usaly the case for you? What do you do to get a WILD?

      WILD

Here's what it was like for me...I posted this before:

I think I had a taste of WILD last night.

      Got into bed and relaxed.

Closed my eyes and just focused on focusing. My eyeballs felt like they began vibrating. Then some colors and flashes. Some floating things.

And then the coolest part. Starting with my left left, my body began to "buzz." Almost vibrate. More flashes. I tried to keep calm. By now my eyes are buzzing, my entire body is humming.

      Then it began to fade.

      Then it came back.

      Then it faded for good.

And then I went to sleep uneventfully.

I've tried to do it again, I can get flashes and stuff, but I'm too concious for my body to fall asleep.

I agree with Shawdon...you were on the verge of an OBE. As for WILDs, if start creating a scenario in your mind as you are dozing off (not at night becuase then you will just fall sleep but rather in the morning) that scenario will look more and more real until you are not just imagining but actually it is a dream already, at which point you can just continue being lucid. It's best to think of scenarios that are familiar to you, like walking around your house, your neighborhood, your school, whatever. ake it familiar surroundings so your mind doesn't have to but effort imagining. Also focus on your movements, like feeling your steps or the texture of a wall as you run your hand through it. For some reason textual imagery is easier to imagine.

Are you guys serious? I don't know if any of you saw my similar post on the Dream Signs and Recall board in the "Ugh.... I will remember it, I will write it down later" topic...

Anyway, I was focusing on my chakra and like always, I achieved a state of relaxation in which my eyes seem to comfortably fall into that position...only last night, my eyelids then proceeded to bat and flutter rapidly. I was able to keep my eyes closed, but I could definitely tell they were twitching uncontrollably. The strange thing is, despite being alarming (much like sleep paralysis and hypnogogic images) I didn't suddenly awake. After about a minute of that, my body got this \"disabled\" feeling...it wasn't the full-fledged sleep paralysis that's so characteristic, but it was a very strange sort of stillness...not paralysis, because I didn't try to move. I wanted to stay still because doing so gave a strangely good feeling. I kept fading in and out of both of these states...and eventually I was completely back to normal... ALMOST!
I find an odd similarity in what we both described..are you saying that he (I) was close to an OoBE?!

      Azwe echo,
your experience sounds more like you started dreaming with REM but without much imagery. I said midnightjoker had an near OBE becuase he felt vibrations. That happens when your conciouness duplicates and enters you energy body, and then you can leave your body. Paralysis comes before vibrations.

So I almost had an out of body experience...please elaborate if you could.

What could I have done to "preserve" that state? Why did I come out of it?

What would have happened to me, ideally, if I stayed in that state?

Has anyone else experienced this? This is all new to me, and this OOBE thing is actually somewhat creepy...

Sorry I haven't checked the forum in the last few days and didn't see these replies.

      Thanks again.

      Matt

      MAtt,

To maintaine the state you focus on the vibrations, and feel then going thorugh your whole body. At that time, a copy of your conciousness has transferred into your energy body which can then leave the body. I call it energy body but you might as well think of it as a point of conciousness. There are a number of techniques for actually exiting the body. Some rely on imagining yourself outside, other by projecting through a chakra,, others by pretending you are climbing up a rope dnagling from your ceiling. I know it can sound creepy. Thin of it more as you generate so much energy that your body can send a copy of itself out to search. I say a copy becuase your energy body as it leaves always leaves a copy behind, so you are always "safe". I would recommend a book by Robert Bruce or Bruce Roberts called "Astral dynamics". or just find out a liitle more on the internet. I have never fully projected into an OBE, but I have managed to transfer my energy to my energy body where I can see my room with my eyes closed.

What can I do during an OBE that I can't during a lucid dream? (which I've never had either, btw)
