100% lucidity 100% of the time

Here is a method that has worked every time for me:

While falling asleep, I close my eyes and imagine that I am, say, floating on water. But I only think of the movement, no surroundings or anything. Like I am floating around in pitch blackness. Eventually, if I can stay concentrated long enough I start to feel like I really am floating, and moving up and down and stuff. Eventually, I fall asleep into a FULLY LUCID dream.

There's one catch: it was unbelievably hard to maintain that feeling for long enough to go asleep. several times that I've tried it, I've given up early. But both times I did it completely for the proper aunt of time, I had two UNBELIEVABLE lucid dreams.

Also, it makes it much easier if I've been doing something, say snowboarding or going on a boat ride, that same day for two reasns:
      1) I am more exhausted and fall asleep easier
      2) The correct movement is sort of "programed" into me, so I still feel like I'm on the boat or going down the mountain and I don't have to try so hard to attain that feeling.

I'm betting that this will work for everyone that can do it successfully, unlike some of the other techniques, but it's also harder to do. But, hell, it's worth a try, right? If anyone tries it, tell me your results!

Thats the same way I try to astrally project, I imagine myself floating upwards. Ive never done it till I fall asleep though, I find the concentration needed it too difficult to maintain.

My assumption is that when you successfully trick your body into thinking it's moving, the "movement" lulls you to sleep while your conscious mind is still active, hence bringing you into a dream state while conscious, a.k.a lucid.

Sounds nice. Do you enter dream state fully lucid, or you just have dream which in you are floating and then you realise that you're dreaming? Sounds like WILD to me

I think you enter a dream where you're floating, except all of a sudden you can't feel your bedsheets, just the stuff you're floating on. But you can still think the whole time and stuff.

The one that I had after snowboarding, I imagined that I was actually on the mountain while I fell asleep, and I talked out loud too (maybe a key trick, I dunno) and as I was on the mountain, things became more and more dreamlike, like I would start seeing stop signs and spaceship on the mountain, and eventually I realized I was just in a lucid dream, and was able to control the surrounds and everything.

Tonight, I'll try a slightly different version of the snowboarding dream and see if it is easier and faster to fall asleep. I'll report back on my findings...

No, it's not a WILD. In a WILD you just attempt to keep conciousness after sleeping, then drifting into sleep while maintaining that conciousness. However, most WILDs don't include prompts like the waves, or the snowboarding. Also, WILDs have HI, and this doesn't, according to what's been said.

Alright, here's the deal. Last night I pictured a boat ride and The boat moved in a very stead motion. I muttered things out loud occasionally, and I thought to myself every few seconds, "Am I sleeping?" and then I'd do a reality check (even though I knew I wasn't) and finally answer "No." That didn't seem to work too well-- I wasn't getting to sleep.

So I tried it again, with a slight variation. I was on the boat, and so was my girlfriend. (We weren't doing anything, by the way.) I layed down and just enjoyed myself and felt good, concentrated on the smooth motion of the boat, and then I pictured falling asleep, and slowly I actually did, into a lucid dream.

      Conclusion: 100% success

I tried it, and didn't manage to stay concentrated long enough unfortunately. I really need to work on that.

However, I could definitely feel that it accelerates the whole process. Was falling into REM a lot faster than usual.
      Good stuff

I'll try this to, but im afraid that I wont be able to maintain the amount of concentration needed in order to stay awake.

How long does it usually take you to successfully fall asleep?

Thats sort of what I tried a few hours ago, and it almost worked. I found it too hard to focus on intricate surroundings so I went into black space and just felt the sensation of flying around. It helped me to get into my astral body, and helped me relax. But in all fairness I didn't make it. I was on the edge of this world and that, flying in space, and then lost lucidity. But outer space was a very easy place to start.

Was this done at night or after a long sleep? I was under the impression that you can't stay concious going into a dream at nightime.

Oh, just to add to this, I used WB2B and then LDGuy's self hypnosis tips before this to help get through the tough bits that I normally fail in.
      Seems to work for me

      hehe, you are not alone

I also used it in combination with self hypnosis technique.

unfortunately I experienced problems with concentration and falling asleep

      Will try again !
