      Wild not working right?

Ive been trying WILD and WBTB for a while now. And what i noticed is that i cant seem to get the HI or SP.
I might get pre-SP, ill feel numb and distorted... but no falling sensations and im definitely not paralyzed.

Last night i did a WILD + WBTB. I went to bed at around 11:30pm and set my alarm at 4:30am. I woke up to my alarm at 4:30. My phone is rather loud, so i kind of jumped out of bed. I closed the alarm, used the bathroom, and did the L technique in a previous thread for about 2 mins, then i got back into bed.

I started to WILD, but even after the WBTB... i was too mentally awake. I stayed in bed with my eyes closed, without moving for about 30-45 mins? And i noticed no effects what so ever. Not even numb. I eventually got bored and just turned to one side and fell asleep.

Yeah i felt sort of sinking, but no falling sensations that i read about with other people. The most i felt it was 2 nights ago, and it wasnt combined with WBTB, it was when i first went to sleep that night. I was 100% numb, if somebody hit me with a PVC pipe i wouldnt have felt it. But then i couldnt fall asleep at all and i grew very impateint so i thought it would be cool if i jumped out of bed while i was numb.

      And i did.

It felt amazing for about 2 minutes. If i stood up id fall back down lol. I was very very disoriented. My eyes were bloodshot and i had the numbness for about 2 to 3 minutes. Then i had to go back to sleep But i couldnt So i just eventually fell asleep after like an hour of tossing and turning

I usually don't do WILD/WBTB because for some people, like me, I find it very difficult to fall asleep after being brought to full wakefulness. I'm just not tired enough to fall asleep, consiously or otherwise. I would recommend not coming out of bed at all and seeing how that works. You may fall asleep, but its better than waiting for an hour with no results.

to the guy with that in their sig
      AMAZING!!! HAHAHAHAAH I LOVE IT

      Lucid Goals:
      1.Flying-not completed.
      2.illuminated room-completed.
      3.run fast speeds-not completed.
      4.drive fast car-not completed.
      5.summon a object-not completed.

makes me want to create a lucid hunt for items and tasks
and all have things to try in their dreams. Without trying those things. I'm pretty good at controling my dreams so I'll give you a rating on difficulty..
I never post on here but, I feel I will be of much help to anyone who would like it
flying, very easy. (to do at first you gotta like run and try to swim like 100mph through the air. After you learn, basically just let yourself feel weightless mainly your head weightless I do this by concentrating on the backside of my head where it connects to my neck and let myself feel like I'm floating, to move the top of my head to propel myself forward)
illuminated room? Do you mean like a out of body thing or what?
fast speeds.. mildly hard ( I try to run I feel like I bog out and can't, but, if you try to lean forward and fly through the air you can usually go pretty damn fast.)
fast car- never tried I will try to soon and let you know
summon item- I rate this at very hard. For me I can change environments and morph people into others. calling an item the easiest way is to turn away from it, and then think of it like picture it where you want it to be in your dream.. example. In a room with a desk. turn away from the desk picture the object on the desk and turn back around to see it.

      Hey guys,

not a master or anything but I've been at it for a few years-

WBTB does mean Wake Back To Bed.

This is the process of setting your alarm for a few hours (usually 5-6) after you fall asleep and then waking up, reading or watching tv for a bit, then going back to sleep. It is MUCH easier to lucid dream this way, but personally I like the challenge of trying to WILD at night before bed...

Anywho my advice to you guys out there would be to first of all, make sure you're plenty tired before attempting WILD before bed...

secondly, once you start to go numb/tingly, try not to think of it too much. Often it gets exciting to get close to dreaming, but this can actually make you more awake and alert.

You almost want to zone out at that point - like a magic eye picture, look through it, and don't concentrate too hard or else it'll never come!

Just chill, make sure you're tired, and practice makes perfect!

Trust me it's extremely frustrating some nights and you may need a bunch of unsuccessful attempts before having your first LD... but there are always people posting here with success after months of trying... so keep it up!!

      Hope this helps!

      -Chris
