I am new and have a few questions

Hi! I just have a few questions. I would appreciate any positive help and feedback. First, I see references to WILD and MILD in alot of the messages. What is the difference? Second, has anyone here ever gotten "stuck" in a dream, where you try to wake yourself up and you think you did, only to still be dreaming? I repeat the loop as many as 10 times before I successfully wake up and by then, I am totally freaked out!

I have also had times when I am woken up in the middle of a really good dream and I force myself back into it and play out the scenes that I want to happen. Other times I will be dreaming and I will take over the dream. It is weird but fun.

Thanks for any help you can give

      *ahem*

*whips out the bible of lucid dreaming*

WILD = Wake Induced Lucid Dream

MILD = Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dream

(someone correct me if I'm wrong)

WILD is basically falling asleep while remaining conscious (by carrying a thought from the waking word to the dream world)
MILD is very basically remembering to become lucid, and imagining yourself in the dream you just woke from...
I have also had times when I am woken up in the middle of a really good dream and I force myself back into it and play out the scenes that I want to happen.[/b]
(correct me if I'm wrong people!)

      ok

Other times I will be dreaming and I will take over the dream. It is weird but fun.

a lucid dream? or just control?

lucid dream = conscious while asleep

      p.s. welcome to the board..

      Welcome, francesm10!

Well said, paperdoll, I don't have anything to add...unless she asks something else.
In any case, france, just search for lucid dreaming...there are lots of sites that'll tell you everything you want to know.
