There's actually been a few topics on this recently.. insomnia is taking over the world, noooo!!!!

Anyway.. exercising a lot during the day, self-hypnosis, melatonin, eating properly.. all those things can help. I'm missing a lot, though, hold on I need to fix my brain.

Try not thinking that. I know, easier said than done. But that's ultimately what's keeping you up. How about visualization? Or playing very soft music in the background? Or reading until your eyes can't take it anymore and need to close?

My mind just can't stop thinking about falling asleep! I am thinking about something else but in the back of my mind I am thinking"I really need to fall asleep".

Well, I already replied to this elsewhere but:

Try learning self-hypnosis. It's really quite easy to do and it's so relaxing that you'll probably end up falling asleep before you even have a chance to obsess over it.

Check out the reply I made to your other thread.

Scwigglie's right, distract yourself with something so you don't have to think. Music works well.

yeah just run around or do something like lifting weights before you go to bed

also if you cant go to sleep after like 30 minutes get up and go watch tv for a while then try again that always works for me

Tv is always what I am doing before I go to bed. It doesn't really help me fall asleep. Self-hypnosis?
