10 minutes of vibration but no dream.

I tried a WILD today and after laying there I started feeling the vibrations. I don't really feel them that often and when I do not to long but this time I felt them for like 10-15 minutes straight. Seemed kind of weird, just kept going on and on. It didn't go any where though. I ended up just giving up and kind of fell asleep though I don't remeber having any dream.

focus on something, try to make it something boring, but not boring enough to fall asleep... I fine placing myself at my old house and getting the mail works.. however i sometimes have WILD's that are not of my will, and they go where they want.... Just don't drift! you'll fall into regular sleep.

Also I'd like to mention.. my brain sometimes fakes myself into thinking i'm sleep paralyzed and i lose feeling, however i can still move. Another interesting thing you should know, if you had a history of sleepwalking (as i did), it may be harder for you to WILD, because you do not go into sleep paralysis as easily. I had that problem, but i've seem to overcome it.

Wow, 10 minutes! I've never had them for more than 45 seconds. The Unknown is on the right track. Try daydreaming a little bit if you can next time.

I was trying the best I could. I was trying what someone else said on here, saying to myself "I am at such and such location" or "I am doing this or that", would also try to picture it. I think that is what got the vibrations started(I don't normally feel them).

The WILD just seemed to kind of stop at that point and didn't go any farther but it also did wake me up either. After like 8 or 9 minutes I even opened my eyes once when I thought it wasn't going any where, that didn't stop the vibrations at all.

Actually you could have been in a lucid dream already.

Sometimes (at least for me) vibrations continue in a dream, and I have to

get up from the dream bed, and only then LD starts...

      Very confusing...

ive felt teh vibrations before, they go like waves through my body, its a very pleasant feeling. I was wondering what you're thinking when you finally enter a lucid dream, when im trying a wild should i be thinking about a dream i want to enter or what?

I always feel vibrations in hynogogic imagery when i see somthing that is impossible and can only work in the dream world. I'll make a flying car go by and they'll start, but they always end a few seconds later. I hear a whistle noise and sometimes voices that repeat over and over again very fast....i alwyas thought it was pretty cool though.

I can't ever do it right... I lie in bed for 30 minutes, acknowledgeing the imagery, never hearing sound or feeling SP.

I do see the imagery and hear sound on naps sometimes, though. Like a "pre-dream."

I felt SP and vibration only once, when I told a joke in the dream and smiled (in real life), making me lucid. I lost the dream and vibrated for about 10 sec before I woke up.

After reading peoples comments, it seems as if most of you enjoy the feeling of the 'vibrations' as you call them. While i love lucid dreaming, and am facinated in the way it works and the frequency i experience it, i am concerned over its effects. I use to get the vibrations you talk of, however more recently these vibrations have changed to reflect more of an epileptic fit rather than a massage. Although my girlfriend informs me i am not moving when i think these spasms are happening, it still feels uncomfortable, but seems the only way i ever enter into lucid dreaming.

Well, if it doesn't hurt, have fun...I guess...

Was the changeover gradual, and did it coincide with a RL event or step up in LDing?

I noticed this morning that there are different levels of vibratiions for me. First theres the very light one that haooens very quickly after I stop moving. The general dulled senses feeling. Then I keep getting hit by waves of more intense vibrations that can go on awhile and sometimes fade and come back and fade and come back. I had it going for at least 5 minutes this morning. The there's the last BIG one that feels like the polarity of your body is chaged, or something. Its just an amazing rush. I didn't stay lucid for that today though. It was a WBTB. Anyone else know what I'm talking about? Cause it sounds like what may have happened if you're vibrating fro 10 minutes. I could never imagine going through the last one for more than 15 seconds.

I never get strong ones, except right as I enter a dream. Which only happened like twice and they where in the middle of night when I wasn't trying to do a WILD.

Hey, look at it this way: Even if it doesn't spawn a lucid dream, it's one heck of a lot cheaper than a vibrating bed.

Yes but keep in mind that for the first time WILD'er, this can be a frightening expirience! But still I have come to accept it for what it is! Just relax man and it will come. Oh yes it will come!
