      Was this a WILD?

This morning I woke up a couple hours before I normally wake up so I decided I would try a WILD. Instead of getting up and moving around I just stared at the ceiling for awhile until I was slightly more awake.

I then began trying to WILD by closing my eyes and listening to my breathing. I thought I fell alseep and woke up again so I looked at the clock, it was 5 minutes later. I started again and the next thing I remember is being on my stomach and thinking that I failed again and just fell asleep. When I did a reality check I realized I was dreaming.

This ld was much more vivid and it was longer than the rest of the ones I have ever had. I am not sure if this counts as a successful WILD. Anyone ever had this happen or know if this was a WILD?

I think that should count as a WILD, you entered into the dream from an awake state. Sometimes you'll stay conscious through the entire process, but either way, it was a lucid dream.
      WILDs - 38
      MILD/DILDs - 44
      VILDs - 8
TILDs - 1 (Thirst Induced Lucid Dream, never going through that experience again...)
Total: 98 - So close to the big 100

I'm not sure If I was completely concious through the entire process, I just remember suddenly being on my stomach. Thanks for the response, I will have to try this again if i wake up again in the morning early enough. Makes me wonder how many times I have false awakenings and miss out on a lucid dream.

Yeah, I've missed out on a lot of lucid dreams from false awakenings.

Definitely keep it up, practice makes perfect.
