      How long is SP?

I am able to (somehow) go through SP manually whenever I choose so, but I avoid it because I have no idea how long it lasts. I never stay in it a long period of time, just for that reason. Particularly I did last night and tried imagining 2 different scenes to pass into, but I don't think I made it. I did however see those scenes immediately, and flawlessly. I also felt I took part in them but I was not able to really feel like it was a dream, therefore I assume it was just HI. Don't question my ability to realize it was SP, I know the difference because I have been in it enough.

My Question: How long does SP last usually before a dream will muster up? I can stay calm, I just need to know what to do when SP is over and how long it lasts.

      Thanks.

How exactly do you enter SP? Just curious.

I am not a master WILDer by any means. I have only done it a couple times, mostly by accident. I don't think there is a set period for SP. I have seen many suggest "stepping into" the HI. Some say you should try to grab or touch an object. Some think you should simply move your dream body, which can be difficult to learn.

If I am in a deeply relaxed state on the verge of a dream and/or have SP, I find myself capable of willing myself into the dream. For example, I have tried to imagine myself falling very rapidly. For me, this has triggered the real falling sensation, which acts as a transition into the dream world.

Unfortunately, I am not very good at even getting to this point. I suck at getting SP and I am only capable of entering a state on the verge of a dream if I happen to wake up during the night and also have enough awareness not to fall back to sleep. Clearly, it is relatively rare ~_~

That is why I think it would be great if I could learn to trigger SP. For whatever reason, it just won't happen for me, even if I wait for it after several hours of sleep.

Any time between 10 seconds to 10 minutes.

      It really can depend.
