Angry Lucidity wakes me up-every time

I have been looking around these fourums for around three months now, trying to WILD FILD DILD DIELD VILD etc. and it seems whenever I have noticed I was dreaming, i would just wake up. I havent been able to do WILD after about 45 tries and WBTB and DILD work about 5% of the time but whenever I realize I am lucid, I wake up. It is very annoying and strange. Has anyone had the same problem or any advice? (BTW it has happend about 7 times)

well i take it uv heard of spinning and rubbing your hands etc they sometimes work for me. but i often at the very instant i realise 'im dreaming' start to run or sprint as fast as i can. i think of it as running into the dream! may not work for everyone but worth a shot.

If it makes you feel any better, my 6 lucid dreams have all been about 30 seconds long, no more. I could always stay calm when realizing it was a dream. =/

Try rubbing your hands together or focussing on detail in the dream. Movement helps as well, as liverred noticed.

Good luck. If you keep trying, you will have a longer dream--hopefully sooner than later.

When you get it to work, if you do something in particular that you think helps, let us know what you did.

i understand your problem mainly because im just getting out of it, my first LD was about 3 seconds and my second 23 seconds and than my third 2 minutes. your probaly just excited and need to slow down, in my last LD's i quickly rushed to do what i wanted, im learning that is the quickest way to lose your LD. just be patient and hopefully your LD's will get longer.
