Man This Is Killing Me!

whats up everybody! Again, im glad i found this site. Before i came here, i heard of lucid dreaming but havent done it since i was a very young kid. Ive had horrible dream recall for the past 10 years, but after finding this site, my dream recall is getting alot better! Its just attaining lucidity thats giving me problems. I mean my dreams have Dream Signs that i should be recognizing easily that this is a dream. I mean, i have the teeth falling out type dreams, that should be a dead giveaway, and last night i dreamt i got bit by a cobra that came out of a cup of beer haha. and it seemed so real, but i wasnt bugging out in the dream i shouldve realized that this would be impossible in real life, i wouldve panicked haha. Maybe im being impatient but i need to attain lucidity so bad. Lucid dreaming is so intriging to me right now if i cant get it ill be so dissapointed. a damn cobra out of a beer cup, how come i didnt realize it was a dream????????

Well its good to hear that your recall is improving so you're getting there. Do you do reality checks? Use them when ever you think about your teeth or see a snake ect. Just give it time and stay positive .Its all worth it in the end. Hope this helps and good luck.

all day in the real world i do reality checks, try poking my finger through my hand, breathing through my nose, and looking at digital clocks. I never remember to do it in a dream though ahhahhaha

Good to see this site is helping ya. you cant inticipate when your first LD will come. one day it will just...happen. you can practice reality checks but its going to take a while usually until they are implimented into your dreams. like i had my first LD on friday night, and what gave me lucid dreaming is my cellphone ringing in my dream and i couldent stop it (i wasent able to stop it becuase my real cellphone was going off in real life and it was carrying over to my dream) i tried to stop my cell and i couldent so i was just like "whoa i must be dreaming" read about it in my dream journal if ya want. You will get it. And don't try to hard. Just let it come. If you push yourself to hard you will actually be negatively effecting your chances of going lucid. So just keep in mind that you will do it... and that it will not be hard. And eventually it will come. Don't worry or be hasty.

I am doing everything that you just posted and all that stuff on the first post is going through my mind aswell! (well not the beer and cobra deal though, more on the un-manned police van type thing) I also just started because I found LDing so intrigueing(sp?) and I am punching myself because there have been so many obvious signs in my dreams that I didn't catch. I bought a watch so I could do a RC every hour, I do the finger palm thing, breathing thing and the clock thing each time! We will do this together brother!

[/b] word up, we gonna get this man! yo i got a breakthrough in my journy to get lucid.......................I had a little control last night!!!!!!!! but i didnt know it was a dream, so i wasnt lucid but check it- my dreams are just small clips of dreams but last night in my dream i jump in my car (same one i own in real life, but in real life i cant drive it because i lost my license) and i start the car and take off. I look down at the gas gauge and its on E, so i was like fuck that i need more gas and just stared at the gauge and made it go up hahaha! but i didnt know it was a dream it seemed like real life until i remembered the dream today at around 11am. crazy, just crazy how these dreams work

Don't worry if you didn't realise. i have been in the most Phucked up sitiations and not knowing that i'm dreaming. i have been hanging from a airballon in a rope and almost got slammed into a mountain, running from arabs with swords, fighting ninjas and not know that i'm dreaming. It's just hard to thing of reality when dreaming.
