      Am I doing RCs correctly?

I'm wondering if I am doing RC incorrectly since I've only done 1 RC within the last 16 nights.

About 20-30 times a day, I would do a RC against the time on my computer, and my watch and then ask myself whether I am actually awake or not.
My dream signs are strong emotions, physical sensations, and family members.
so I ask myself if I can see them. Then I look around to see if there is any unusual or impossible happening around me. I check to see if I have any unusual abilities or unusual insight into other character's motives or secrets. Only then, will I say I'm awake.

Is this normal for starting out? Only 1 RC after 16 nights? Will I start to do more RC's as time progresses? Do I need to rethink my strategy?

      Thanks

Heh, I wish I could do RC's in my dreams. I'm usually dumb as a rock though. I'd say I've gotten lucid maybe twice from an RC since starting in early December. Usually, if I'm lucid, I just know, and the RC is just for fun.
In dreams of unspeakable joy—of restored friendships; of revived embraces; of love which said it had never died; of faces that had vanished long ago, yet said with smiling lips that they knew nothing of the grave; of pardons implored, and granted with such bursting floods of love, that I was almost glad I had sinned—thus I passed through this wondrous twilight. —George MacDonald

Its really not that bad, I never do reality checks. Usually my dreams are so obscure that I don't need too.
      Bollocks.

I don't need to do RCs. I just come upon the sudden realization,"Hey wait, this is a dream!" I don't know what makes me realize it, I just do at some random point in the dream. Which is pretty good cuz in a dream I can NEVER remember RCs... even if I'm lucid, lol. I've always wanted to try though...

The method itself doesn't matter so much as the thinking behind it.

If whatever you're doing makes you question reality, or, you question which state you're in when you do it, its correct.

It may also better to do it when something out of the ordinary happens... rather than 20 times a day because I should RC 20 times a day.

      But lots of people disagree.
I am posting on topic elsewhere for the most part.

My DJ here at DVs, Realized Aspiration only contains old dreams. I'll be around for the occasional chat, and some unfinished/unstarted RPs.

And you, yeah you, with the ice cream hands. You, yeah you, are my friend. ~ Still my mentor, and an awesome guy.

Try doing a RC that isn't as complex. Try pinching your arm, that's what I do.

Don't RC out of habit, it won't work. Instead do one everytime you encounter something/someone new, odd or out of place. Especially new stuff, cuz a lot of stuff in dreams you've never seen before.
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?

Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?
