I know excatly what you mean. What I discovered is that you have to find your own special time. I tried going up in the middle of the night, couldnt fall alseep, and if I was close the smallest thought woke me up. What I did was go to sleep around 23.00 to 00.00 and went up 5.30, about two or three hours before I usually go up. I laid down on the couch with no intention of wilding, and I was in a really sleepy state, but since I already had a decent amount of sleep, it took me really long to fall alseep. It's that feeling you get when you wake up to early and just feel like going back to bed, like when you need to go to school but you're just to tired. Lay in the couch or lay differently, somewhere not the most comfortable place. The couch works best for me. Just relax and if your in the state where you won't fall alseep to soon, just relax. You need to be tired, but it shouldn't be to easy to fall alseep. I did this and fell into sp which I got out of, then I fell into sp again and started seeing all the images but I canceled it because it seemed scary. Just try to find the right time, if it's really hard it's the wrong time.
