      Progress?

      Hey everyone!

Over the summer I was really into trying lucid dreaming and I achived three lucid dreams in about a month. Then once the school year started I stopped trying. But this past month, I've been trying again and I've seen a lot of "progress", but I'm not sure if it's actual progress or not?

My dream recall is very high, but kind of jumbled. I can remember usually three dreams per night, but they are kind of...unclear. Some parts are missing etc. I keep a dream journal. I know they are getting better though. So, I have had three "lucid" dreams the past two weeks. The problem is, two of them were extremely fast. One of them I just suddenly realized it was a dream, and it felt like my eyes rolled back into my head and I woke up. Whenever I'm in a lucid dream it feels like how it feels when you are asleep then open your eyes to a super bright light. Then, last night, I was in a dream, and I knew I was lucid, I couldn't see, and I could feel that my body was in sleep paralysis, I was basically half lucid. I've been working on having OOBE as well, so I tried that since sleep paralysis is a direct route to having an OOBE if one knows how.

I'm not sure what's going on. Is that even considered progress since the dreams are so ridiculously short?

P.S. These past two nights I've had them back-to-back. I have been focusing a lot more on it, so I hope my subconscious is realizing I want to have them?

      Thanks for any replies!

Of course its progress. When you give Lucid Dreaming a break for such a long period of time it is actually very impressive you regained lucidity so quickly at all. I predict that if you keep going like you are now you will be experiencing longer more vivid LDs before you know it.

I've been waiting for a LD forever and 10 minutes ago remembered one I had last night. Its terrible to know you have been having lucids and you just cant remember them but anyway the LD was very short, I flew into the air shot fireballs down at the raging battle and right when I was trying to pull uip from the swift dive I woke up. the time I was Lucid was about 45 seconds. the best 45 seconds I've had in a while but still short. I consider that progess even if it was short the goal is to have LD's and then do with them as you please.

Hmm, so I had two more lucid dreams last night. Both were extremely short again. I tried rubbing my hands together and focusing on the tactile feel of the friction it was causing, but the dream still slipped away.

Any ideas on how to prolong my experiences? I'm not getting too excited either.
