      Writing Method of Induction

Over the past few months i've tried just about everything to obtain a faithful way of inducing a lucid dream. I tried about every method only to be disappointed night after night. The other day I began to attempt a WILD again. About an hour and a half into it I became discouraged and suddenly a great idea popped into my head. Although I didn't actually WILD that night I did have a pretty crazy WBTB experience.

What I did was imagine, with every detail possible, my hand writing on a plain piece of computer paper. Now give yourself a positive and certain message and watch your hand write out that message over and over until you feel quite certain and drilled into your memory. Watch yourself write out each letter and word and even personalize the way you write the sentences. Leave a gap between sentences so your attention is clearly on what you are writing. I let the other finished sentences come and go as my imagination pleased. For example...

      I Will Lucid Dream.

      I Will Lucid Dream.

      I Will Lucid Dream.

I Will Remember Everything I Dream.

I Will Remember Everything I Dream.

NOT:I Will Try To Lucid Dream
Because you WILL lucid dream if you tell yourself you will.
And so on until I fell asleep. My mind tended to wander in and out of imagining other things/scenes as I started to fall asleep but it would pop back to the exact letter I left off on and I would continue to write. Your subconscious likes positive but assertive/confident messages. I will try and WILD with this method sometime to see how it works in keeping me awake. Hope this helps.

I write in my DJ all of the time like this. Every time I write I Will lucid dream I have much more chance of having one. Thanks for this.

      It worked

I tried this last night I had one good quality LD about three hours after
retiring and about four hours later I had another LD the quality of the second
one was pretty poor, but it was still and LD.

Funny thing a few nights back I tried the version of this where you write
out fifty times " I will have a lucid dream tonight" and all i got was aching
      wrist.

I will have to try it again tonight, thanks for posting.

I tried this again last night, no joy though I just had one or two
      vague regular dreams.

I will give it another go tonight, most of the lucid techniques I have
tried over the years tend to have a short shelf life mp3s, dream pills,
      Nova Dreamer, etc.

I read somewhere that changing techniques every few days or so can
be more productive although I have never tried this myself.

Ive got a question - you keep mentioning WILD, but are you doing this visualisation until you fall asleep, and hope for a DILD? or are you visualising until you WILD and are actually in a room writing it?

"I do not love “good” more than I love “bad.” Hitler went to heaven. When you understand this, you will understand God."

Sorry for the confusion I originally tried to WILD with it is what I was saying but then gave up and it worked for a DILD. I have not gotten it to work for a WILD yet but haven't gotten the chance to really try yet with my busy schedule.

As for it working only once, it may be a method like that, it seems to get harder for me the more I do it so I can see where you are coming from. Maybe changing around scenery or the look of everything and giving your sentences some real doodling/customizing could make a big enough lasting impression on your subconscious mind to get it to work here and there.

I do agree with changing dreaming techniques many times because your mind tends to adapt to things and actually make it more challenging. Unless you have awesome control over your mind I heard that you have to almost trick/convince your mind into LD and using the same technique can make that difficult.

Hope this helped. Recently i've had amazing dreams in the few morning hours after I was drinking the night before. I'm not saying to go out and drink because I don't even know why this is happening but it has happened every time so far in the past week.
