Last night I had one of the weirdest WILD experiences, well, in my life. It was so weird and complex that I'm still trying to set it out and plan it in my dream diary.
Anyway, last night I went to bed at normal. I didn't set the alarm as I wanted a DILD and I went to bed too early, so I kind of didn't want to wake up super early when it was still dark and cold.
I woke up at around 6:30 am though and I was really happy because I didn't have to set my alarm.
I tried WILD unsuccessfully a fews times after that... though I kept falling asleep or having to move around or get up.
I also had a false awakening at which I was dreaming and still WILD-ing. I felt myself floating and I opened my eyes and I actually saw myself floating. I thought this would have triggered lucididty, but apparently not. Oh well, the dream didn't last long after that though.
But I noticed something about three different times straight after my naturally ended dreams.
Is it just me or is it easier to combine WILD and the DEILD technique? After I wake up and lie there for a second without moving, SP seems to creep on so much easier. I even felt a sinking feeling that got me so excited that I lost my nerve and the chance to WILD - but I still go at least that far, so I was happy.
So, for people who have successfully done WILD can you tell me if you experience this too?
Is it easier to WILD straight after a natural wake-up from a dream, rather than proper WBTB (getting up, getting a drink, etc) and balancing your awareness?
Thanks.
Note: I've never had true SP or successfully done a WILD before, so all hints and advice are appreciated also.
