      Question Help Concerning WILD

Lately I've been trying to WILD and have encountered a problem. After a while of doing wateva I am to keep awake, i start getting itches. I've read in another post that this is just to make sure your body doesn't go asleep when u are awake. I can easily avoid scratching but then a bit later on I get this unbearable urge to move my legs. I try really hard not to move them but I can't take it for more than a 10-20 seconds. I just can't stop myself from moving. It makes me extremely frustrated that I can't get further than that so I just give up and go to sleep. It would be great if you could give me some advice on this.

      Thanks,

      peppy.

The more it frustrates you, the worse it will get. Try keeping your mind occupied, relax and forget about the restless legs. If this doesn't work, try getting out of bed and walk around a little, then try again. I sometimes have restless legs in the morning when I want to sleep in, and that helps me.

      Good luck.

Apparently, there's important biological reasons why you need to move every once and a while. You actually rely on muscle movement to pump blood in your veins back through your heart so after a long time of staying still you're body sends out a message to move, leading to that undesirable feeling.

I'm pretty sure that negative pressure from your heart is enough to keep you going though, otherwise comatose patients would all be dead in a matter of minutes. Maybe, the knowledge of knowing why it occurs will help you overcome that urge. I know it helps me a little bit.
