      How to Improve RC Skils?

I usually have like 2 or 3 sorta big dreams a night (where i am aware of time moving on and processing things, but im not ludic (if you know what i mean)) that i can recall in the morning and write in my DJ. Anyways, i think the best method for me is a DILD, but i am never able to become 'aware' of dreaming, even when RC's are all over the place. Any suggestions on improving my RC awareness skills?

Well, you could learn to become more aware and analytical of your surroundings so that instead of just randomly doing RCs, you give them a trigger such as when something seems strange or when you see a dreamsign

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

If you actually physically do an RC yourself it is much more effective than a dreamsign.

Buddy, you're confusing Reality Checks with Dream Signs.

A dream sign is a sign that signifies that what's going on is a dream. Something out of place, something that doesn't make sense, etc.
A reality check is an action you take up to check whether you are dreaming or not. The idea behind reality checks is to make them a habit.

So combine both. Be aware when awake, and do reality checks both whenever they come to mind and whenever you see something out of place, something odd, something that grabs your attention all of a sudden.

Ya, do them even when you are absolutely sure you are awake.

      1. So how, then, do i KNOW to do an RC while dreaming, if i am not lucid?

      and

      2. How do u become more aware that u r dreaming? is it a skill that is developed? if so, how do u become better at it?

      -thanks

No no. An RC is something you do when you ARE lucid, to make sure you are dreaming and you are not awake and try jumping off the top story of a hotel thinking your still in a dream

To get better at being aware that you are dreaming, takes time. Think of a setting that most of your dreams take place at maybe, and take in everything there in real life, and then when you dream, you'll have a much better chance of pointing out a dream sign and becoming lucid.

the thing you dont want to do is get into the habit of RCing randomly for no reason. What you want to do is get into the habit of doing it when you see something strange or out of place - or if you see your dreamsign - because those are the only times that you would RC in a dream.

Just don't go around pinching your nose hoping it will help.
Actually look around, think "Is this real?" try not to answer it, even if the answer is obvious (yes) then pinch your nose, and think "If this is real, then I can't breathe now." then try.

That way, if it becomes a habit, it will help you in a dream if you should decide to do an RC in a dream.
But if you just pinch your nose because it's just a habit, then you'll pinch your nose just because it's a habit in your dreams too.

And ofcourse, do it everytime you see a dream sign. If you don't have a dream sign, do it occosionally when you just think about Lucid Dreaming.
Actually, you could do one right now! You might be dreaming about this because you've been reading about it all day. Do an RC! (Read text, look away, read again might be good here :p)

First off..RCing is not a skill. It should only be a part of your awareness not a 'must do thing'. The best way to enable RCs to be done in the dream is to do as little as possible in real life, just do a few to get the hang of it. If you keep doing them in real life, most likely you won't do them in the dream because it is no longer an unfulfilled need plus it will get 'stale'. So key to seeing/doing things in a dream is to have a longing for it, in other words keep the idea of doing RCs fresh in the mind. Before sleep, recall/renact how you will do them.
