Lucid for the first time! But one problem...

Typically, the first time I ever become lucid in a dream was when I was about 12ft underwater running out of oxygen.

But wow though, it really did seem real at the time. It was from the moment that it just sparked in my mind that I was lucid (No reality checks needed, I just seemed to think it in the dream and got lucky) that everything seemed so much more vivid than a dream.

But anyways, the moment it dawned on me I was lucid I swam upwards to the surface so I could have a bit of fun with the dream and the moment my head broke the top of the water I lost lucidity with the suddeness of everything. Thinking back, swimming to the surface wasn't particularly necessary because I could have just imagined that there was no water or that I could teleport onto land.

Thought I'd just share the good news with you and thank you all for your brilliant help yesterday evening! Couldn't have been done without you!!

Congrats on your first LD! Almost everyone blows it the first time ><, but at least you now have something to work with.

Keep up whatever your doing, and just try to think outside the box is all I can say Who needs to breathe?

      Good Job =D

Sounds good for a first LD. I once breathed underwater in an LD and it was sooo weird!

      Congratulations!

Dont worry about the length of the dream, its your first LD after all, im sure there will be plenty of opportunity to "have a bit of fun" with all the future LD's heading your way

And yes, the realism in LD's can be just... awe inspiring. I usually spend much more time observing my surroundings than anything else in LD's.

      Many more to you
