      WILD Help

Ok so i have gathered very good information on the WILD technique mostly on the subject of obtaining SP. My question is when you enter into SP what next how do you make the transfer into an LD because the goal is to keep the mind awake but you cant dream while you are awake.... any help is appreciated
      thanks

Great to see you asking so many questions, Lance! We're glad to see newcomers so excited about LDing!

I understand what you're trying to say with the whole "you cant dream while you are awake...." statement, but that depends what definition of "awake" you mean. You can't dream while your body is awake, but you actually can dream while in a body asleep/mind awake state. It's really quite amazing, you transfer directly from being fully awake to being in an actual, vivid, lucid dream within minutes with the WILD technique.

You will not "fall asleep" in the sense of the mind; you will not lose consciousness at all during this. You will simply feel a series of sensations, and will eventually just "enter a dream". It's hard to explain, but wonderful to experience. Simply follow my instructions from the other post, or the instructions of many other WILD tutorials around this website, and with a lot of dedication and patience you'll be able to do it. There's nothing else to know except how to get to SP. Once you're there, you're very close.

Please let me (us) know if you have any other questions or follow up questions.

Ha again you come to my rescue. I am actually very excited about LDing and i have experienced them before but not in a controlled way or didn't even know what they where.

Ah that makes sense actually i had a misconception that if your mind was awake you couldn't dream but what you said does make sense you just slip into the dream world.

I am very anxious to start my journey and i have a lot of faith it will work (i hear that is a good attitude to have) and thanks to you mostly for helping me understand how to accomplish this.

No problem, again I'm glad to help. I've been away from the forums for about 6 months and only came back yesterday, and am as anxious to help out as you new folks are to LD!

Now in case you didn't know, it is almost absolutely necessary that you first sleep for 4-6 hours before attempting the WILD. If you don't, once you get to SP you may have to wait HOURS to get to a dream. Your body will be "asleep", but will not be able to incubate a dream. The reason for this is that most dreams occur in REM sleep, which is the 5th stage of sleep that only begins about 4-6 hours after initially going to sleep. The 4-6 hour range depends on the individual. So, set your alarm and good luck!

oh so thats why everywhere i see "You can really on achieve a WILD if paired with WBTB" which i later found out meant wake back to bed. I am going to try the water method i saw on a forum about FILD which is the only method so far i have tried it will make you wake up due to thirst. This maybe also an alarm.
