      Possible WILD technique: Visualizing music

I haven't managed to get a WILD yet, but I did think of a way to get close.

I'm very good at visualizing things. So, I figured, why not visualize a few well-known pieces of music and use that as an anchor? Basically, you lie there, imagining songs you know inside-out. Theoretically, it should require just enough mental effort to keep you up while your body falls asleep. And you can easily reach the dream state by imagining it coming from a radio or tv or something. Basically, just go through the entire song mentally at its usual speed with its usual lyrics.

It hasn't worked for me so far, but I only tried it once. Do you think it has potential?

it seems like a good idea at first but you'll take the risk of getting a song stuck in your head... ever had that happen?

      Whoa, who hasn't.

Jeez, for the longest time I couldn't get the phrase, "Now Superman that ho," out of my head
If a person with multiple personality syndrome threatens to kill themselves, is it considered a hostage situation?

mini0991, visualizing music? Like seeing the music/song in your mind being acted out like in a video or do you mean simply visualizing the notes/beats somehow?

Just visualize the melody and lyrics, the song itself. As if your brain had its own media player. To do this, you'd have to know the song very well, lyrics and all. You kinda hear it very quietly after a while as you visualize listening to it.

For example, I just visualize all the songs from my favorite album by The Police, since I've been listening to that constantly for well over 15 years. When I visualize the songs, it's like I hear them going in my head. It keeps my attention from drifiting everywhere. I still haven't managed to do a WILD from it though, but I never managed to do a WILD from anything either.

      Lol.

I might try this sometime. Sounds plausible.
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?

Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?
