Thread: Using the ROPE WILD technique

Hi,
Don't know if this has been mentioned before but i remembered a thing I read years ago when trying OBE's. It involves using a technique to induce an OBE. I tried it to induce a WILD using it, the other night and it seems to allow you to concentrate on something whilst allowing your body to sleep. I didn't WILD but felt as though I was about a foot above my real body.

Soo.... if I try to do an OBE I'll become possed with an evil spirit?

well, no, but some people think (me amongst them) that when you leave your body with an OBE, it is open for other energies (call them evil spirits, other plane presences, whatever) to take them and you cant get back inside if there's something already in there, so beware

Thats what the silver chord is there for. To prevent that from ever happening. I mean it will fend off evil spirits from trying to take over you unless its the devil himself....

Personally I came to the conclusion that OBE's are just another form of LD. LaBErge and Tholey seem to agree. After seeing what my mind can make in a normal LD, SoundsTasteFeelingsEmotionsScenarySmell, and phsychokinetic powers 8) the realistic 'Out Of Body' feeling would be no problem.
Besides which I defy any nasty spirits to try and take my body whilst I'm away. I'd smack his 'Astral' lights out. Bring it on!!

but on a more seriouse note, im not only saying you might not be able to get back into your body. You just might be sharin it with some 1 else when u get back. You know like if the "evil spirit" might not assume much control but theoyretically it would exist in some physicall form.

Meaning it might only become active again until you enter the astral plane again. = comes into your body and exist in astral form everytime u enter R.E.M

I everyone here is so obsessed with 'the dark side' and the Devil as an entitety than the Devil is a force just as powerful as God, not just a notion.

WILD scares the hell out of me, it feels like my limbs are where they are not, this happen with anyone else? Like, dissociated limbs, you know?

That's an onset of an Obe. They could be your astral limbs, or just part of sleep paralysis, who knows, could be a dream.

That's happened to me, when I'm going to sleep and I'm on my side with my hands on top of each other. It's like they are somwhere else but I can feel them there at the same time

There's hardly any chance of the devil, who of course was just taking a stroll on Earth for a holiday, even though I think he was banished from earth, and happened to walk across your physical body, and decided that because God has absolutely no power over him, even though he did manage to send him to hell, and the Devil was in fact an angel in the Christian Bible (if I'm right), and therefore God would of made him, therefore obviously making him more powerful than him, he would possess your body, which of course wouldn't alert god to his presence on Earth, even if there was a person running around with red eyes and tearing at people's flesh screaming "SAAAAAAATANNNNNNNN!", and a lost soul floating about wondering why his physical body has walked off, and what he's going to do now.

Yep, that seems totally logical to me.

That is idiotic.... I am never one to critcize ones beliefs. But once you start trying to force them onto other people I am forced to police you, OBEs could just be another form of LD or if you like it could be you leaving your body. If you believe the latter and fear that a "demon" may attempt to possess you think of the logistics... Since when is the astral plane related to the demons of christianity ( I assume thats what we are talking about since thats what this topic has been about). It actually talks in the bible about God FORCING people to astrally project.

We can all believe what ever we want to believe but if you want to be free you have to let go of Fear, let go of those feelings that you are not in control of your life. Indeed the only "evil spirt" are the ones imagined by your mind.

OBE or lucid dream...they are the same as long as one is aware that it is all real time. The places you visit and people you see can be absolutely real; depending on how much conscious control you have. For those who are curious, the next time you LD, go to your bedroom and find yourself; from there, start your journey.

Negative entities do exist, but they are just entities. Most do not care about what you are doing anyway. You enter the astral every single time you fall asleep; if you were to be "possessed" why hasn't it happened already? Besides, what a boring existence it would be to sit around in someone else's body for absolutely no purpose (unless you wanted to star in a horror film).

I messed up a WILD this morning because I was hearing freaky noises (like those clicking noises the aliens in Signs made).

But while laying there, feeling intense vibrations, I could feel my "other" limbs moving, I even brought my hand up to my chin and felt it rest against it.

I also woke up felling tingly after these intense vibes. I was physically awake, the experience was over, but I still felt tingly inside of myself and all around me for a good 10-15 seconds. That's not something I feel when waking up directly out of a regular dream.

This is why I like WILDs (with the vibrations). The possibility that are something more than just lucids.
