      Question Was that a WILD?

Okay I know i have posted a lot of comments around asking about WILD. I know it's a bit like being conscious but dreaming.
I think i have been in the WILD state.
I was awake and i could open my eyes...My body felt like it drifted off and i knew if i moved it would go away. But i didn't see anything so it might be something else completely.
Does anyone know anything about WILD's?

The WILD is a method of entering a Lucid Dream. It stands for "Wake Induced Lucid Dream" as opposed to the more common DILD; "Dream Induced Lucid Dream". There are many other -ILDs, but these two are the most common.

The DILD is simply realizing you're dreaming, while you're dreaming.

The WILD is a lot more difficult, complicated, and patience trying. We have a number of tutorials on the WILD on our forums, but the basic idea is trying to stay awake while you fall asleep.

The general process of the WILD is focusing on keeping your mind conscious as your body falls asleep. While doing this you'll feel the effects of sleep that you normally won't as you won't be conscious enough to do so. You'll notice weird shapes and colours in front of your eyes. This is called "Hynogogic Imagery" which are essentially hallucinations created by the mind as the body falls asleep. You may also start hearing things. Typically you'll hear light buzzing at first, but you may also hear other sounds and maybe even light voices. This is called "Hypnogogic Sounds." Both these are the preliminary stages to Dreaming.

You're body will feel tingly and become heavy. Soon you won't be able to move it. You've entered the stage known as Sleep Paralysis. SP exists so that the body doesn't act out the dreams your having. It's a safety mechanism.

Soon after this, the imagery you saw earlier, the random shapes and colours, will become more complex and form scenes. Soon after that your body will be fully asleep while these new scenes will be incredibly clear and vivid. Its at this point that you've gone straight into a Dream.

Thats the basic idea of a WILD.

      Wow

That sounds amazing! I would love to have one. I had a LD though last night but i got scared and woke myself up. I worried that the same thing will happen when i try to do a WILD.
