It's possible because SP still happens when I force myself to wake up from a dream with eyes open but still in dream state (hallucinatory state)...it's very weird to be in that state. I'm sure I'm awake and eyes open just that my mind and body is in SP and suddenly I am able to move and I wake up. |

You can enter sleep paralysis with eyes open or closed, but, if you consciencely want to enter it, you should keep your eyes closed to focus more. I WILD without SP, and I don't really believe it's all that necessary, but that's what people are teaching these days. I'd really recommend that you use some other techniques to induce lucid dreams so that you have better experience being lucid. Why work so hard for a WILD and then immediately wake up after getting lucid? |

Willing to talk about/listen to anything you have to say.
Start with MILD and DILD, maybe some scattered WBTB, like on weekends. Then, once you can keep an LD stabilized and you have some relatively strong control, you should WILD. It woud be a pity to spend forever WILDing, and then just wake up 5 seconds after entering a dream. Furthermore, you're brain needs to understand what goal it wants. Unless you have a good number of LDs, you're brain won't have the motivation to do a WILD. You will have to wait a very long time WILDing to get any progress, while, with the other methods I suggested, you will get LDs much faster and with less effort compared to a WILD. |
