I think that it is unlikely to be the shake. When you start a weight training regiment, it will generally cause a boost in serotonin production and periods of deeper sleep, particularly at the beginning of the night, which will cause a bit of REM rebound (longer periods of REM later in the night, which you are more likely to remember). The increased levels of serotonin production are caused by intense exercise and this is one of many reasons why exercise helps with the treatment of depression. |
