      My Awsome Technique!!!

I'm not sure if this has already been done or not.

Make sure you have 2 days were you have absolutely nothing to do because you will be very tired. First make sure you get a good 7-8 hours sleep then when you wake up you have to stay up for 48 hours. Then once the 48 hours is up have a cup of coffee or something with allot of caffeine in it. Then do what you would normally do when trying to WILD.

This technique has worked for me 100% of the time.
Also i cant think of a cool name for the technique so someone give me an idea for a name.

CRAZY? (not sure what it would stand for).

Interesting way to induce lucid, though I doubt very healthy.

      Nice avatar.

People have DIED from lack of sleep. I'm talking about days without sleep killing people. Not weeks, days. This technique is dangerous and stupid.

Enjoy your type 2 diabetes, idiot.

      1) He hasn't died yet.
      2) Most people who die from sleep deprivation also are host to a number of other contributing factors, such as keeping their heart rate abnormally high (as in while playing video games), not eating healthy, if at all, over the duration, and other pre-existing physical conditions.
      3) If it works for him 100% of the time, how does that make him an idiot?

It's not healthy for you, and it is a dumb thing to do just to have a dream.

I guaruntee you it's a lot healthier just to get the recomended hours of sleep for your age even if your sucess rate is 5%, it's still better than staying up for 48 hours.

yea, id agree with everybody.. it's not really worth it.. even though it's only 48 hours
you can definitely feel the difference in your body after that amount of time passes..
calling him an idiot was a little bit extreme though.

I can see how this would work, but I wouldn't want to try it on account of the dangers involved in staying up so late. And with school, it would just be a real pain. Unless you are unemployed and don't go to school this technique is not very feasible. Really, it isn't too practical of a technique. But hey, if it works for you, more power to ya.

It's definitely possible, but the only time you should do it is if your staying up for a project in college. No one young should be trying this. That will really ***** with your head and your schedual.

Well, unless you have been practicing any of the MILD or WILD technique then it would work since the REM rebound effects would definitely extend your REM duration and allow you a better change of achieving a Lucid Dream. But it could take too much energy. May I suggest that you try a dark room. This would have the same affect. You only have to stay in it for half a day. But be awake in this dark room. then go on and try to induce LD...it should work just as well. Thus you cut your time by 2/3

No-one dies from going 48 hours without sleep, some people have died after 72, some stayed up for months. I myself did 52 hours once, experiencing no adverse effects and a myrad of positive ones (I got realy lucky, I had a rather traumatic even hit me during this experiment, had I been on a normal sleep cycle I would have lapsed into a deep depresson. But since I hadn't sleept for days I was able to be zen about it.)
