This may be really obvious but I wanted to share it anyway
I went to bed last night much later than normal and was therefore extremely tired! Just before I moved from the couch to my bedroom, I was at that stage where I would have fallen asleep anywhere, my eyelids felt extremely heavy and my mind was already starting to form dream content while I was still semi-conscious - hypnagogic hallucinations, people's faces and voices etc started to happen before my closed eyes while I was lucid.
When I went to bed I was very aware of how tired I was still, and thought it would be an excellent opportunity to easily enter a dream quickly and stay lucid. It kind of worked, as I started to see landscapes forming and people starting to appear and then became aware of my real surroundings and woke up. this happened numerous times as my husband was getting ready to come to bed, and because I could hear him, in effect he kept ruining my possible lucid dreams by bringing me back into reality. I feel almost certain that if I hadn't been disturbed, my extreme tiredness would have allowed dreams to form whilst I was still conscious.
Any thoughts?!
