      WILD Failure

Hey, This morning I've been trying to WILD. I set an alarm clock, but I woke out after a REM about 20 mins before it was about to alarm. (seems my cycles are shorter than 90 mins) It was late in the morning, so I decided to stay up. I listened to some music, did whatever it takes to inject lucid dreaming to my head, and wen't back to back, autosuggesting myslef to know when I'm dreaming.

I started WILDing. I chose a comfortable position, in which I usually fall asleep, and didn't move. I was surpriced, since last time I tryed to WILD I had to move and scratch every few minutes... this time it wen't just fine.

After a while, the transition has came, I started feeling preasure, all sorts of feelings in my body - I felt like I'm beeing dragged away from my legs, like someone's rubbing my shoulders, all kind of stuff, and I guessed it must be the sleep paralize. I didn't see nor hear any hallucinations or sounds. Every once in a while, I started seeing a image growing in the back of my head, the begining of a dream, and I was telling myself "this is it, come on, turn into a dream". Whenever it happened I also tryed visualizing the enviroment I wish to begin in. (inside a car with friends, the scene where the dream I just recalled ended with). But nothing happened, after few seconds of hoping the image faded and I was again just laying in my bed... I must say that i kept my thoughts about breating and focusing like I should have, but I just couldn't enter a dream. After a while, I started feeling extreme urge to move my arm, my legs, and than my other arm. I resisted it for a while, but it grew stronger, untill I was so frustrated about not entering a dream, and got out of bed. I preformed reallity check, and found out I'm awake. Funny thing is that I've been trying to WILD for 70 minutes! that's almost a full sleep cycle!

I'm really upsted and dissapointed of myself right now, I hope someone can help me find out what went wrong... I felt like I'm following all the steps correctly and I was sure I'm going to WILD this night... hmm..

Funny thing is, later that night, I had a DILD. I don't think that this DILD had anything to do with the WILD, since it was like two hours afterwards, and I should be happy because of it, but I'm not.

I have another point - I've had 6 LD's so far, and all of them except for two ended up the moment I found out I've became lucid, before I had time to stabilize the enviroment, I just suddenly became lucid, and after few seconds the dream was over. And the other two, didn't last long either.
Is there any way to stabilize my dreams, In case I still don't have enough control to rub my heads or spin?

      Thanks, Yoavwein.

I think you focused to much on your 'starting dreamscene'.

Also, how vivid are your visualizations. When I start to visualize, I can be pretty sure that it'll turn into a dream

The same thing happened to me last night... Yes, I know that it supposably doesn't happen at night. But I did get to the extreme urge to move, so I know I was on the right track. I just never slipped into dreams...

Then I tried again today and ended up having a FA that I didn't recognize. I'm actually pretty disappointed with myself, right now.

ThreeLetterSyndrom, when I tryed to visualize I was exited, I just tryed thinking hard of the scene I want to appear in, inside my car... But never happened, the rough Images slowly faded and I went through sleep paralize and this over and over untill the urge to move was insane... and I gave up :S

I'm going to try again this saturday morning, perhaps can you give me any tips?
