I'm guessing not many know much about hypnosis or NLP. Neither do I. Maybe if you search the forum you'll find existing threads/experiments on these topics. Unless you can enlighten us a bit more? I don't exactly know what kind of state you are in when you're hypnotized. If people actually hallucinate pink elephants under hypnosis, then perhaps this LD idea is possible. You should ask a hypnotist. Personally, I'd like to see what it's like to be hypnotized myself.

well, you can hypnotise yourself.. basically using NLP. NLP stands for Neurological Linguistic Programing, Basicaly reprograming certain pathways in your brain.

      www.nlp.com
that has alot of great information on it.. People normaly use NLP on themselfs, but alot of car lot sales men, and the like use it on others..
Maybe if you were hypnotized my a hypnotist, he/she could make you realize that YOU CAN have lucid dreams every night.

I just started doing hypnosis a couple of days ago. Basically, it is meant to suggest ideas into your subconscious. It cannot make you do anything you do not want to do, like dance or act like a chicken that's ridiculous, and you are fully awake during hypnosis. I suggest using a downloadable mp3 as a quick and sometimes free method. Finding a good free hypnosis mp3 is hard to find. Even if it doesn't help induse a lucid dream there is an extraordinary feeling you get in which your whole body tingles and your relaxed so its win win. Its also safe.

Sounds promising, I'll try it out sometime. //Makes a note to setup a self-hypnosis track for Dreamviews.

Hi there, I haven't read any of the replies because I'm lazy.

I'm rather experienced with neural linguistic programming and conversational hypnosis (and a little bit of clinical hypnosis). Yes, it can be used to aid with lucid dreaming, but like any other method, it does not guarantee you instant lucid dream induction without any work on your part. That said, it is quite helpful. I've got a very very excellent hour long track of the sounds of nature. You dont' have to concentrate on anything you're hearing, as all of the sounds are really covering up a very subtle binaural beats, and subliminal messages. Hypnosis works really well if the person knows what they are doing, although auto-hypnosis never worked for me. Strange.
